The reason why Poongko's matches are so entertaining to watch is because they are like Hong Kong fight movie action scenes. Non-stop action with a lot of fight choreography. His rushdown style almost makes a grown man cry. I've watched this video nearly 2 billion times by now and I keep watching it.

Poongko makes playing Ryu seem like an artform. It's so aggresive and powerful. His use of FADC's is amazing.

This is awesome cuz people thought Poongko was going to get annihilated vs the Japanese, but he's held his own. He can take these matchups as a learning experience and improve his game.

poongko's execution and mix-up are perfect. defence and tactics were shaken by his impatience. what a game to show the unprepared mentality. now he plays with seth the same way. ... it works better for seth than ryu. good 4 him

True... his adeptness at combo strings is uncanny and the way he executes is almost flawless. His only problem is he cant seem to adapt to differing playstyles...

Yeah I've had that a lot too, you mistime it by just a little and you get hit by the projectile anyway. But other than that, it doesn't matter if they overuse projectiles or not since the tatsu knocks down.

Not a stupid question, but my guess would be PS3 since at the select screen, it had the locked characters, as well as the fact that PS2/1 sticks can work with PS3.

If you wanted to watch a street fighter 4 game where the most aggressive player fights against the most i wouldn't say defensive rather than "kiting" character this is the one. Poongko is the most aggressive player probably out there playing Ryu, and then on the other side you have Lyo playing Dhalsim, which is basically a char that needs to keep distance to score some extra hits, yet Lyo sometimes teleports close to his opponents instead to catch them off guard and land some huge combos.

i'm wondering if you know this for a fact. i'm living in korea right now and i can't find sf4 cabs ANYWHERE... so maybe you're right. someone said that in a newspaper article that sf4 was the most popular game in south korea in arcades though. like a korean paper. dunno!! but it's way more popular than games are in canada where i'm from. i wonder who thumbed down you. i'll thumb up you lol

i see what you mean. but against projectile users, long distance roundhouse tatsu is never a silly thing to do, because of it's projectile evasion property and knocks down the opponent. Take a look at 0:53 of this video, that's a prime example. This has been there since third strike, and not too certain, but maybe even the SF2 series.

look at the difference between daigo and poongko... ... daigo beat iyo and poongko... but still poonko got the same techniques as daigo... but he lost, daigo is a little bit better then poongko and iyo is master with dalsim. If I'm keep running away, how could you touch me anyways? Jump straight up and tatsu on the way down to gain meter? are you trying to approach Akuma or trying to stay away from him? Absorbing the non-ex air fireballs and punish? sounds easy to do eh? when Daigo faught Momochi, he didn't do that even though Daigo master at it. I met different kind of spammers. Some I can approach because the lag of the internet or when I use sakura. Anyways, I'm not good with that kind of spammers.

From My point of view and experience... as a ryu player the real key to beating a dhalsim is having extreme patience and remembering the basics... cause dhalsims way far off range game can cause frustration and a sense of rush to the opponent leading them to bait then slowly eating counter moves from dhalsim whew

Why don't other characters save their supers as well then? I mean Ryu with a Super bar filled up and an Ultra full means double ammo for like near 100%. Why do I see most Ryu players spamming out their EX's instead of saving up. It seems like you have to either go for EX moves or super but not both cuase going for both is too hard to manage situation wise.

Yeah, but he's still a relative newbie compared to all the old veterans. I mean, if Iyo and Daigo played KOF games like Poongko does, I'm sure he'll probably have the upperhand. He's more o fa KOF/CvS guy than an SF guy. SF4 is basically his first serious foray into SF tourneys.

Without Ponngko and daigo i wouldnt got this far with my ryu thanks to those both watched there videos so many times while me stuck in training mode practising. i appreciate what there tort me and also last time i had a run with poongko on psn i fighted him. i would say i beat him 4-0 rounds but what pisses me of is that he wasnt even trying becoz of lag i guess i wouldnt even take it as a defeat or anything because he wasnt serious pm me for poongko psn he dont com allot for somereason

Spammers are totally different. They will use air hadouken + red hadouken right at the beginning of the game till time is gone. Absorbing red hadouken? maybe you can but I don't. I tried man. If you think you can jump over red Hadouken, then Shoryuken is waiting for you. If you're uncautious and keep coming with absorb + dash, double heavy kick or tatsu is waiting for you. Of course if they miss, they fly away right after that haha.

haha hey yeah i'm that dude. i don't really care about what joystick i play on... i got super used to the korean sticks/buttons but that's not at all what you play on. tournament edition sticks are pretty good but i do like it a bit stiffer. doesn't matter. play on everything so that way you'll never be at a disadvantage!!
