You have to win very consistently and plus when you reach Master you gain a lot more LP along with your MR points. Winning LP in Master and Legend rank is like almost gaining extra LP for winstreaks in ranks below Platinum. Eventually I believe you’ll get out of low Diamond.

Top 8 at the end of SFV, won an official offline ft10 against Tokido after he won Evo. AB hasn't done anything noticeable, he's winning now on SF6 but the game is only 6 months old, player winning day 1 are usually not the one dominating afterwards, which is what Ultima counts. And those online games count for nothing btw.

Do you think if this capcom pro tour like sf4 tournament era where the japanese players participate in every cpt tournament is the same as sf6 outcome of this western players? I dont think so..if there is japanese players in every tourney. Most of the time, western players left at the bottom. Seldom they were on top.
