I think a footsies guide would be very helpful, especially from an Ed perspective. Thanks for all the content!

Love the guides, I've improved a lot watching them. A general footsie guide would be cool, even if it's more a discussion on footsies in general and not Ed so much specifically

Thank you for the kind words. Also thanks for the preference. Even if it doesn't end up being the first one I do (it probably will be, though) it definitely won't be far off.

I'd definitely be interested in a footsies guide, I feel like that's something people don't delve into enough.

I stumbled upon your channel and instantly subscribed after the first 10 minutes of this video. Hope you can bring more content about Ed, he is the reason I came back to SF6.

I am glad someone finally talked discovered the follow-ups for snatcher juggle... I did it so often since the start and no one would use them, until now I haven't seen an Ed doing it online. Took it few months for that lol

a footsie video would be amazing. you've touched upon it a little in the last part but i'm struggling most with spacing traps. often enough characters are minus when landing something with range on block, but if you press something, you get whiff punished or interrupted due to spacing. keep up the good work! liking the out boxers bible so far :)

footsies specifically for Ed would help a ton. there's a lot I don't know about neutral, defense and offense and it's hard to lab or find out on my own. spacing, frame traps, common MU situations, defense against aggressive players and other common scenarios. there's so much to add there that probably it could start a whole series! but even a video could help. and thanks for your content, you are incredibly good at this!

A combo guide would be ideal and really helpful for people picking up the character. Ed’s got so many varied combos, quite original compared to the rest of the cast

Another thing you can do with Ed with snatcher on block is do your own delay tech. If they dp you block, if they grab you tech the grab, and if they mash you’re blocking which is not ideal but at least you’re safe. The jab is probably better than doing a delay tech but that’s what I do since it’s a universal thing with all characters.
@NezsFGC5 ай бұрын
This is true, although some DPs make it very hard, like Ed's and rashid's. The slower one. I also forgot to talk about doing delayed meaties to punish throw techs.

My vote is neither a footsie guide or combo guide. I vote for Ed game plan or corner control/pressure. ❤

A footsies guide would be very helpful. Ed has a lot of buttons and sometimes it's hard to discern which button to use at which time

Am I the only who can’t drive impact after snatcher? I do this at 23:20 with the setting and the di doesn’t come out. The main reason I don’t use this move is because if you don’t know how it is heavily punishable by DI. Even low ranks will bully you and mines won’t come out. Okay I realize the timing on mine is bad and I use it too late and that’s why. The timing is just really important. You have to do it as soon as it’s charged

Footsies, its so hard to even get a St HP on block without someone jumping or Cr mk drive rush. Feels like most games are won or lost based on how well I do pressed in the corner
@mikejonesnoreally5 ай бұрын
o.o Um, Standing Fierce is NOT the best option in the corner. In fact it's the mommy of all BAD Okizeme "ideas." It has a slow start up and......well in THIS game that's WELL ENOUGH to be completely disqualifying as a Wake Up option thank you very much!
@nanuwu88955 ай бұрын
I really wanna see you do a video on combos. I feel like I can improve a lot very fast to just do optimal combos
@Luchamasterfit5 ай бұрын
So would you say that the core of Eds game revolves around flicker/snatcher. Like I should be building my offense around optimizing the wheres and whens of feints and snatches? Based on the information, flicker is just an all around great buffer off everything as long as you get proficient with the hitconfirming and the fake outs.
@NezsFGC5 ай бұрын
I would say it's an important part of his kit for sure, but it is important not to over-commit to using it. In my opinion Momochi is currently the strongest Ed player. How often he uses flickers is close to what I imagine is ideal. Definitely check out his replays from time to time for ideas.
@chut52725 ай бұрын
Not sure if its worth your time or how hard but some longer videos where you play the game and talk about the thought process, why this button at this time, why dash there, what are you looking for, what are you thinking is going to happen. I have several characters to master (still very bad) but when i watch higher levels and try to replicate, it more often then not gets me blown up. There is obvious stuff i work on but i feel like im missing something (or just bad). Thought maybe this style video would give me a glimpse into what im not thinking about or what i am and should not be. Anyways, your videos have been very helpful, thanks.
@NezsFGC5 ай бұрын
While I won't be playing the game, the footsies video I plan on making will definitely help with a lot of this. It will mostly explain a lot of ideas about thought process and prediction. I do also plan to eventually do "replay analysis" videos where I will go over replays and break down situations as they occur.
@washhh5 ай бұрын
For the situation of snatcher on block what if you delay tech? If they dp you'll block it and your throw wont come out, if they tech, you'll just end up teching. I guess you can't really bait throw in this situation but if they're willing to take the throw at least you get that and you can also safely bait a dp
@NezsFGC5 ай бұрын
Depends on what reversal you're blocking. Characters with slower reversals are harder or almost impossible to delay tech. Like against Ed or Rashid, as examples.

Do you happen to know how to do the new lvl2 combo route momochi has been doing? It starts with the OD blitz, LVL2, HP dp, HP dp, dash 6HP, HP dp... and I dont remember how he ends it, but I can't seem to get this combo at all. It's not much different from the one he used to do, but he's practicing this one all the time now.
@NezsFGC5 ай бұрын
He does it in two ways. One version is just the hard version of the combo but he has good timings to get the fHP bounce. The other version he's been doing recently is he gets one bounce off the heavy blitz (usually two). He does this by doing the heavy blitz input and then holding forward for about 4 frames before pressing the HP. This way he gets a small microwalk forward that allows for the single bounce.
@shingobingo4905 ай бұрын
@@NezsFGC Oh wow. That's completely the opposite of what I was thinking of trying. I didn't think you'd have to walk forward for the one bounce. I thought you'd have to create more distance so it doesnt bounce twice. Appreciate the response!

Hey man, got an ideia for you. Why don’t you make a video on the uses of Ed sway specifically? It’ll probably be a shorter one, but I see a lot of people using it only for canceling flicker even though it does have some other useful applications

That's a good idea and I definitely will. I plan to go over every normal and special separately. Although they won't all be their own video, but kill rush might be.
