Ita kinda funny. Ed went from the easy modern input character in 5 to (I think) very technical in 6. At least in classic mode. Havent tried modern yet

Ed is no joke, I struggle for almost 2 hours doing his trials. He's not my secondary main yet but I'm gonna stick with Luke and keep practicing Ed until I get better with him.

agreed. They went from one of the easiest execution of his moves and combos in SF5, where he's balanced cause you focus on playing but his moves are easy to do. And now he's one of the most complicated and hardest command characters in the game. Probably THE hardest, honestly. His QCF/QCB P and K supers are inverted from most characters. His crossup is MP instead of a K button, he got flickers for kicks where his holding down hits high .. he's just this weird, unique character where you have to learn to play him special vs anyone else for muscle memory. And his combo timing mad weird.

He's not a charge character. But trust me, charge characters like Guile is actually farrr easier than this rendition of Ed. He's EXTREMELY technical. Probably on par with Chun Li in terms of technicality.

I play couple matches, it's actually insane that a few strings in Ed's combo trials is very useful to open a chance for combos, it actually teach u the spacing n' timing to pull off these combos
