Alright I'll be the one to say it. Deejay still seems fine. It looks like the nerfs just toned down his most extreme qualities, but he's still good.

I think he'll see less tournament play for sure but he's definitely still good. Less damage and more options will hopefully mean less frustrating to fight and more fun to play

This match was against akuma, so the damage nerf may seem less bad here

he probably sucks now, sucks as in putting him 1 or 2 tiers lower where the top tiers still where they are. imho his biggest down side are his burnout state and lack of low buttons. made up for that with above avg damage. so he lost that but didnt gain anything instead. biggest singular nerf tho is reduction of hk upkicks 1st hit range. you already see that in this match twice lol. and it wasnt even a thing, like nobody complained. just a random nerf. ggjay

Capcom want the shotos to be good,thats why they buffed Ryu and Ken,thats the way it has been for decades,the shotos always dominate in street fighter games.

​@@UltrakupraNot true bro, that ended woth sf4. Sf5 Shotos are literally mid and Ken was complete ass the whole season. Ryu started well but after season 2 was nerfed to oblivion. Evo top 8s from sf5 tells the stpry. Here Ken is great, Ryu is mid and Akuma is good but that low health makes charaters lile Gief and Marisa dog walk him as have been proven since he dropped

More dmg scaling than anyone else by far. Made moves less safe across the board and even took combo routes off the guy. It's a bit of a joke, but then again so is capcom "balancing" in general.

Yeah. I don't even play Deejay, but didn't like it. I mean, less damage is okaish I guess but why remove combo routes? But as a ken player I must say he got a big nerf by not being able to delay the target combo anymore. Much more risky

Fuudo jumps too much. I barely jump with deejay its only when people be spamming other than that im not jumping

Maybe it’s because he’s up against the newly released Akuma. Fuudo is actually a really good DeeJay player, he even won against the two time Capcom world champ MenaRD (now 3 time because he just won 2024 Evo Japan)

He jumped maybe 15 times? Heaven forbid a guy dodge projectiles or change his approach once in a while. Also Fuudos consistently ranked 2nd or 1st best Dee Jay, he doesn't need advice from a KZbin comment.
