Is it me or is there literally no benefit to scoring a perfect parry? It seems to completely nerf your damage output for virtually no additional advantage on the punish?

It's good for wakeup since if you can perfect parry your opponent's oki, you can then throw them in the corner. It's mostly used for throws rather than punishing with long combos.

@@dickthebirthdayboy2132 I've never been able to do it getting up from a knock down, it feels like the meaty attack always has the advantage, as perfect parry has a very specific timing depending on the strength of the button used to set you up for a meaty, it's very difficult to predict the start up of the move coming at you. The move is weird, if you do it from a neutral position with nobody near you, it feels like it has alot of start up, but yet to execute you have to press really late. Feels like you can only do it from standing? When you're in the corner, it feels like nothing works to get out other than an invincible special attack like an EX or a character dependant super, PP never works for me. It's easier to hit PP only in situations where you're actually doing the oki and baiting your opponent's recovery move, rather than the other way around, it feels more of an offensive tactic than defensive, ironically.

I cant wait until they nerf drive rush. Juri has the most obnoxious drive rush in the game. Can't check it with anything because her st.mk is 5 frames with insane range. Easily the most braindead rushdown character in the game. Can't wait for Juri players to have to use their brain for once.
