Dragon punch beats dive kick. No need for Ryu to ever parry it.

Based on Ryu dragon punch hit box it will always connect. Head and torso invincible and it is classified as a heavy attack and all dive kicks are classified as a medium attacks so there will be no trade. To try to parry is where you get into trouble because as you said the dive angle can be controlled and you waste a parry which is way worse because you can not parry in the same direction twice which means free mix up once Yun hits the ground. Hit box on Ryu dragon punch is good, dragon the dive kick. Time in vid 1:19.

No- if Yun decides to dive kick at various angles he could bait your DP. or if Yun neutral jumps and buffers, You’re eating a full combo on the way down

Standing Roundhouse beats far dive kick everytime for the same reason. What is up with the Yun players trying to keep this a secret online? If you dive kick you will die. The age of Yun is over. This is why you don't parry.... Roundhouse Dive kick if done deep and gets parried is only open to 5 frame punish. Meaning you can only use Ryu dp 4 frame or ex 3 frames or close standing ferice 5 frame. Or you could just dragon the dive kick and forget the parry crap. Ryu low forward is 8 frames, Kuni made a mistake. Time in vid 5:55.
