Thank you for reframing this moment of Thérèse’s life for me. I always thought her conversion was going from authenticity to people-pleasing and it baffled me how it was a positive thing. The brother Joseph explains it, she moved from people-pleasing driven by fear of losing her family to operating out of integrity. She got a big neon sign saying what you are doing is not working. Reframe. I am curious about reading brother Joseph’s book on Thérèse. Marriage of psychology and faith is a beautiful thing.
