I like how there's also such a marked difference in the voice qualities too! I'm not saying by any means that one is worse than the other, just that somehow there's such a marked transition between IV and V. IV they sounded so vibrant and bright, kinda cartoonish but in a good way. V the performances don't seem as exaggerated so there's a sense of maturity and advancement, as it should be when you move the franchise/story forward. I think it is also a reflection of the voice actors' growth or rather their expanded breadth in skill. Seriously it is a treat to see how some of these guys have progressed since their early days dubbing Anime!

MINDFR3AK13 SF4 is stiff. SF4 is overrated and SFV is underrated. In my opinion neither is better than the other. There were improvements made and some changes that shouldn’t have been made. SFV Ken is best Ken I’ve ever seen. The V-Trigger system is a great addition and would’ve been even better if it was just an addition and not part of a replacement for the super/ultra system. Most character designs are better or are a deviation from what has been done for the past 2 decades which is also a not in SFVs favor. People complain combos and everything and the game being “too easy” but yet I see pros dropping combos. SFIV did bring the genre back but let’s not go overboard saying it’s objectively better in every way.

@@sebastienc.2257 v trigger hurts the game. If someome activates it, they automatically have the advantage. I love V skills, hate V triggers. SFV needs more combo variety, and needs harder execution with combos as well. SF4's weakness was how it was hard knockdown based. SFV Ken isnt good either. Ken has always been a higher tier character, and now he is mid tier. SFIV Ken was top 10 no doubt, arguably top 7. Look at Balrog for example. His V trigger deals soo much damage after just ONE special attack. Is it difficult to use? No. Does it take skill? Barely at all. Those kinda v triggers are the ones i hate. You should watch, the lowering skill gap video. It can explain what I mean

I'm gonna say this, Akuma's VA in SF5 just fits him so well. He's voiced by none other than Richard Epcar. The same man who voiced Hardin, Oliver, and Walhart from Fire Emblem. Akuma is sort of a combination of Walhart and Hardin. He's has this dark power within him like Hardin and is extremely powerful like Walhart. Although Fire Emblem and Street Fighter don't belong in the same universe, I'd just like to point that out.

SFV definitely looks cleaner and runs smoother, but the textures just look odd. SFIV had a clear stylistic choice with the cell-shading and blocky textures, but the hair and skin in SFV just look rubbery, and it looks more like a lack of effort than a stylistic choice.

Wouldn't have asked for it for Christmas two years ago if I would have known that half the game was expected to be purchased as DLC, or with "in-game fight money" if you're willing to spend days grinding for it. I think with Arcade Edition it caught up. I don't feel like its unreasonable anymore to have this game work as a service model. You get a bunch of characters already and Season 3 was pretty great. I was on team USFIV before but now SFV is amazing.

In some characters sf5 has done some extra actions and camera movements which has made their actions quite unregistered . street fighter 4 may not be that good looking but all the actions of character are properly registered and clearly hitting on screen .

I completely agree with you there! Capcom in SF5 is trying too hard to make their characters look like a moving toy action figure. They are trying to look like Tekken which kinda annoys me. But SF5 models is fine to me. But I still prefer if they just make them more anime like with better cell shaded 3d graphics at least with that they don't have to spend so much time they just need to polish it. People who wants every game to look like very realistic like red dead redemption and final fantasy 15 are idiots. Not all video games need to have those kind of graphics
