Kinda like how the toxic animatronics had their work cut out for them here. They started out as adorable plushies doing science to protect their kid. It's precious, AND realistically that'd mean the only fighting know-how they'd have would be from watching action cartoons with the lil' guy. "I wanna keep my human safe like these weird creatures do on the tv, I'm so small and soft and have no powers like they do. Wait, did it just use that rock to change? I have an idea!"
