also like a recomendation i like to add a noise filter on the furthest away point of the camera since it helps make the rain look a bit more realistic, you cant really detail much stuff that is that small so noise helps.

i used smudging and blurring on snow, fire particles and cartoonish light flare with my recent posters and its still very ameteur. i think this will help most for rain because i havent tried water or rain effect and im not only using it for sfm posters

My SFM is so fucking shitty i watched all the tutorials here just to get a great start on SFM but when i entered and it was all plain gray i decided to upload a map which is 2fort but it wont fucking work i tried many attemtps closing and turning it on again yet it wont work pls help

You can either add it in as a particle in sfm. Or match the same angle in a different program like blender with a more complicated particle system and overlay it in post. Or take video of actual rain and pray that the angle looks close enough. You can always skew it and stuff to try get it to work.
