[SFM Splatoon Stop-motion] A normal day in Inkopolis

I'm back, I made this as a test animation for animating in twos (AKA stop-motion like style) Thanks to life getting in the way this took me 4 months when it should only take a week to get this done.
Music/SFX used:
Splatoon 2 - Inkopolis Square
Splatoon 2 - Inkling and Player sounds
Other sounds were taken from: freesound.org/
Anyways I got free time again so I might get another animation done in a week.

It's been what? 9 months?! Woah, despite being just a test I can't believe people enjoyed my little creation. I have something BIG planned, seeing I'm only one man, and a couple of friends to help me out, this project is long and difficult to make. But it's not impossible...still, stay tuned 👀

Heyyo! it's been awhile since I last saw your work. The stop-motion is nice! how was the process of animating it all in two's? did you animate the poses before using presets to animate them in two's or something like that?

Oh I basically made the pose first, when I'm done with the pose I make whole keyframes every 2 frames of the transition and then I make them stepped tangents so it instantly snaps to the next pose.

Well, what can I say? this is beautiful both for the lighting and the stop-motion and in my opinion many other animators who do "stop motion" should replicate this instead of just putting images like a power point. Well done

Maybe doing these instead of full motion can be easy for me to start with I want to do splatoon videos but I have no experience in using tools like SFM

SFM's kinda intimidating at first but like any other software, once you know what you're doing you can really make some great animations.

Also this took the same effort as full motion, 3d animation is basically posing and playing with keyframes and inbetweens.
