I still cannot overstate how valuable super is as a player. There is *nobody* in the league like him, not merely in skill (though he is a top tank player), but his ability to lead, to bond, and his MASSIVE 5Head make him the GOAT. Too few people recognize a player's value outside of their gameplay. Still makes me cry to know he's gone.

2019 and 2020 shock was as good as overwatch gets. The domination, the chemistry, the personalities, everything. I doubt any team will ever be as perfect as them that year, but i'm hopeful for the future

I do like the current Shanghai Dragons though. The only thing they lack is the personality. They make up for it in fan communication though, theirs is the best in the league by FAR

i think dallas has pretty much everything you listed (in terms of personalities, at least sparkle and fearless fill that role pretty well), it’s just that 1, they speak korean only, and 2, fuel doesn’t focus on “marketing” their players like shock and many other teams do more often

So far they are 4-0 in matches and 12-2 on maps so I have high hopes for the season despite the rocky end of the last season and offseason.

Too early to tell in such a new game. Ow2 is in fact a new game and requires adjustment. I think they'll still be dominant, but if we're being real, there's also other teams with very great players that could potentially get better. But I have faith

when all the players resigned,i was super sad. super leaving at the end too,was just cruel. i was wondering if i am a shock fan or a fan of the players that we had and loved for such a long time. but when i watched the first 2 matches i realized its the coaching staff,that made me fall in love with shock in the first place. not only do they sign insanely talented people,but they have some vision on how to play overwatch,which i just love. i remember getting surprised that sfshock would play aggressive and use ults in fights,even tho they were down 2 people. that made me love them,you never knew who is gonna carry a seemingly lost fight. last year it felt like the players werent on the same page,something just felt off. now after the 4 matches i've seen,i see the old shock. and it doesnt even matter if they dont win it all again,i am sure they gonna entertain me and make me proud to be a fan.but i'll always love the former players and i'll always wish them the best. my opinion on the new players: proper is crazy good. like ... does this dude ever stop carrying? absolutely nuts! finn is the best ana for shock that i can imagine. dont get me wrong,twilight was crazy good too but i think he wasnt aggressive enough for shock. finn is. i remember the ana trade on dorado attack second point upper right. when he killed the enemy ana and got slept/died but still laughed. thats the spirit! coluge is such an amazing offtank. ofc offtanks aint a thing in ow2 anymore,but you can clearly see that he was an offtank b4. he is always there to peel,like some sixth sense. sadly,we've only see him play winston but i'm super excited to see his other tanks and how he is approaching these as a solo tank in the new 5vs5. s9mm and kilo didnt play that much,so i dont have that much information yet. but when they played,they delivered. thats a good sign :D and its sometimes hard to see everything going on,with the utterly garbage livestreams. when they switch onto players after they did something.... duh ..... and for viol2t... i am happy he doesnt play main heal but flex. thats where he shines. also it was a shame to see such an mechanically gifted player on moira. i hope i dont have to see this ever again. give viol3t something that can headshot. thats all i'll ask for. also i think the defeats last year made viol2t a better player. he sometimes fed because he had no respect for the enemy dps,then got headshotted and they lost the fight. i think thats a valuable lesson for viol2t and i think at this point you have to fear him even more if you have to play against him. he wont do these stupid mistakes again. also you can clearly see that he played a shit ton of lucio to fill the gap and i am glad he did,this way they dont need to sign a lucio 1trick. like when super practiced hog to still have impact on shock when rein wasnt meta. i still pray for a zen meta. just to see him go crazy again the team looks awesome!

I'm glad Crusty pointed out their history of problematic players. Lowkey Shock seems to be like some kind of "attitude adjustment gamer rehab" or at least they try to be. For example Sinatraa used to be a toxic little monster and they groomed him to be a better teammate and a leader. Did it work out perfectly... definitely not but I appreciate that they make attempts to make their players into better people as well.

i absolutely miss the old shock, but i am so thrilled to have these new players and make memories with them. i always looked up to super, moth, ans, and choi the most, so it's always been hard watching the team move around like it has, especially in the past year. however, i'm hopeful for the 2022 season. part of what makes me love the shock so much is the management and coaching staff. i appreciate the dedication to making the players better people, giving second chances, and allowing players to take breaks and move on when they need it. i've never seen such a positive and welcoming environment from any other team. shock is amazing, because no matter who comes and goes, they will always be one big family. best of luck to everyone this year! i know you will kill it

you know, second place grand finals with a team full of rookies, a veteran, and another veteran who hasnt played much since 2020, thats insane. on top of that it was against an extremely dominant team not only in 2022 but in 2021 as well. AND it was in front of a ton of people. the pressure mustve been extraordinarily difficult to work with. so many people watching you, cheering you on and rooting against you. especially with proper being the one people were looking towards. i genuinely cant wait to see the 2023 season. it may not mean much coming from a random person but truly shock are one of my key memories in and outside of OWL. godspeed shock, i will be rooting you on as much as possible
