Why Raging Demon is the most hype finisher in Street Fighter -It gets its own background in recent games (all others are flashes of orange and white while Raging Demon is black and white) -The kanji taking up the screen -You almost NEVER see what happens. All you know is that your opponent is getting obliterated -Exclusively in Street Fighter IV (any version), the announcer doesn't say "KO!" This probably means that the Raging Demon flat out KILLED them. Fitting as the Raging Demon is supposed to kill people if used. -The sound that plays when you finish someone off with it.

Floofie kun nah, they killed a lot of the hype for raging demon in SF5 by making it so that you kinda see what happens, and also saying “K.O” when it’s just supposed to kill you entirely, but eh, people deserve to be annoyed by it personally, I’m not fussed about the K.O, just the fact that you can see what’s going on.

King Pen demon flips aren't supposed to be empty. Even if you don't press anything he does a slide. I almost shat when i saw that. The button inputs for the raging demon CA must've caused the empty flip. lol

In all honesty, I think now we can see the raging demon attack the way Capcom originally wanted to show us. All other times it was flashes of light with punch/kick sound effects because of the technology that was used at the time. Know how it is now, and imagine how it would look in the future. Even better than what we now see!

It's been visually better since Street Fighter IV, but I think Capcom did a much better job in Street Fighter V because there's been a lot of mystery to the Shun Goku Satsu since it was Akuma's Level 3 Critical in the Street Fighter Alpha days.

The version you're referring to is the stage of Akuma beginning to succumb to the Satsui no Hadou. He's still dominantly Akuma, but his power is almost Oni level.

It has something to do with the religious aspect of the attack. Apparently the victim is dragged through separate hells and pretty much beaten the shit out of. Only those with pure souls (sinless) can withstand it. You can find articles of it, I’ve read quite a few.

Generally it destroys the soul but Akuma can use it to only break the body as in Street Fighter 3: Ryu Final a manga by Masahiko Nakahira (Guy who made Evil Ryu and Karin Kanzuki). The only way to survive the Raging Remon is emptying one Soul (Power of Nothingness).

Damn, i was expecting the Red hair Akuma to beat the topless grey haired Akuma (possible also referred to as Shin Akuma) because Red Hair Akuma in dark blue was the original and arguably the best ever character Capcom brought to street fighter, although if Shin Akuma was explicitly available in SFV then i'd ditch Red hair Akuma for Shin Akuma any day.
