Wow that demon set up is awesome, totally going to try it out. Probably going to be easier than trying to combo into it because of my play style. I usually use crouching light kick and if I hit use misogi to get the hard knockdown. People rarely jump after that, usually wake up throw tech lol. Thank you so much for making these videos. SonicSol It‘s an awesome meaty, it‘s also good if they reversal (at least akuma and kage, their dp will just whiff to the other side) I don‘t know about the rest of the cast though

@@andrew6179 if you're talking about a dp to anti air it in the second tech by Wolfgang, the opponent has to make the correct input for a Cross cut dp. And that's hard considering kage is directly in the center, above of their collision box. Inputs are likely to mess up at that point. I explained this before.

@@andrew6179 if you're talking about the demon meaty in vt2. All invuln reversals are invincible for the first 5f and start up from frames 3-5. However kage's demon starts up on frame 2 in that setup (-1 oki). You will either go through their dp or you'll get hit on later frames (akuma's and Ken's dp has multiple hitboxes so the demon has to be done a frame later [-2 oki])

How are you gonna be able to react to which rise they do on the setup at 6:15? Like you gotta have inhumane reactions to do that. You basically put yourself at risk of burning 2 bars AND being extremely punishable if you guess wrong on a situation that is meant to be really good for you risk/reward wise. Furthermore it doesnt even lead to a combo. Setup is bunk

F.HP setplay covers ALL rises You have the option of going for instant air tatsu but also have a reliable meaty option that you can make safe.

SonicSol yea and then f hp isnt even safe, if they just block you just wasted a great opportunity to get pressure. I mean this is a lot of unsafe options on a great knockdown where you can get something guaranteed. The f hp thing is just as bad imo because even with the teleport to cancel out of the hp you are still unsafe. AND you just used all your v trigger and a bar. This setup just seems too yolo and gimmicky for me personally. It is flashy though.

@@jesperlarsen9188 after teleport, the opponent needs super or a fast moving ex special move. It's pretty safe. Also it's still one of two options the opponent has to worry about. If you don't wanna use it cool.

The second tech you used ex fireball trigger cancel when explaining but upgraded V skill during actual set play. V trigger canceling an ex fireball to do the setup is not worth it imo, youre already giving up guaranteed damage as well as the actual v trigger freeze for it, however doing it after v skill looks very good indeed.

So basically vt1 is for nasty mixups and vt2 is for oki and demon, nice

VT1 is for spending a needless amount of bar for a CHANCE to land a hit and VT2 is for whiffpunishes, amazing oki, demon and easy extra damage/stun. 99% of the people here are way better off with VT2. A very small minority MIGHT benefit from VT1 over VT2, but I am not convinced yet. Everything people have shown me for VT1 is always very resource heavy and takes a lot more skill to use than anything VT2 brings to the table. If you're anything below advanced, pick VT2 (for results).
