VesperArcade. I wanted to point out something i noticed practicing Young Zeku. The Pushback on his normals is INSANE. After just one poke of his medium kick or punch, he is already out of range for all his normals except heavies.almost nothing combos into his lp mp hp hk target because the push back is so much after just one poke. This makes it almost impossible for him to keep up pressure like Guy could do in sf4. you need to hit confirm everything within 1 hit or you cant combo because of the pushback also the fact that you cant special cancel after the HP in his target combos on block IMO this makes Young Zeku Super bad.. he already doesnt have an anti air... hes basically a neutered Guy. I Honestly dont see a reason to play young zeku at all besides players wanted Guy as a character.. Capcom needs to do something about the pushback on his normals.. Have you noticed this or do you think its not an issue?

Yeah I recently played a super long set against my friend using only young Zeku vs his Akuma and there was a blatant difference lol. I adjusted my playstyle a bit so expect some videos explaining it in the future.

quick tip: with thte v trigger combos if youre going into super doing mk hp hk hk+hp does more damage due to scaling. WIthout super mp mk hp hk hk+hp is best. add the lp and lk if you want to be flashy and get a longer combo at the cost of quite a bit of damage (around 50ish depending on your moves before the v trigger cancel)

Motion is down,down forward, forward, up forward + PP

@@VesperArcade literraly i jump towards the opponent after the shoulder attack and press the ex air grab motion (for me is easier this way)

I'm thinking that you can probably exclude the jump-in combos as just about every jump-in combo is capable of being done on the ground. There are some exceptions, of course, if say there was a special move in the air such as the wall dive kick but for the most part, it's standard. It can probably save you some time on editing.

In case you know Vesper Young Zeku's Crush Counter Buttons has Additional recovery frames if whiffed which prevents him from fishing for CC's.

or it could simply be a way to balance out between the forms. yz isnt supposed to space u out like oz is. im sure capcom intended zeku players to swap depending on spacing and situation. yz without drawbacks might have lead to people just playing that form only. mind u nerfing it across the board has the potential to hurt a lot of characters.

Well, obviously all those that rely on fishing for counters a lot, like dunno, Laura, Urien or Necalli, they can take the hit for the most part, fortunately. Besides those, it could seriously hit characters with CCs that whiff on crouching, but Capcom might nerf those less for that reason.

@raics but u can punish those characters for doing it. the only character that comes to mind that can just throw it out like that is maybe karin or akuma. but this could be just online that ur feeling.

The combo at 0.19 doesn't work for me. The qcf k mk part always whiffs even tho its clearly hitting the opponent

I need help with his back shoulder launcher from HP. Into the follow up with medium punch. I believe it is his 8th or 9th trial in Volume 2. You change into Young Zeku - Jump in High Kick, standing High punch, EX qcf PP, qcb HP, qcf MP... That last part. I do not understand the timing. It isn't automatic. I launch him with the back shoulder move and I want to finish it with the Iron palm...but I have to confirm the hit wait until he falls and strike him right before he hits the ground. I dont know what the game wants from me. What is the secret to that link

i managed to get all down but for the hozanto into sliding tackle. any tips and is there any good uses for it? only ask as i can not see any most likely until i can start getting them down

After the hozanto, as soon as you input the command for the run you can just mash out the MK followup to ensure it happens as soon as possible. It is optimal damage off of the LP hozanto, but it cannot convert into CA. If you want to do that you have to use the qcf.P palm strike and cancel that instead.

I like older zeku i find him more simple which forces you to be more calculated
