The paint looks great. Where did you get the Suzuki decals?
@TravisPinto2 жыл бұрын
They were on Ebay. Just search for "Suzuki" and you will find many options.

@@TravisPinto Did you paint it yourself? What color is it?
@TravisPinto2 жыл бұрын
@@mattl7341 Yes... I actually painted this bike 3 times. I just never liked any of the colors I chose until this one. The color is Toyota: Cement Grey - Paint Code 1H5. There are a bunch of color match sites www.automotivetouchup.com where you can purchase this color in aerosol cans, which is what I used. I also sprayed clear coat over the top.

I just got a '13 Gladius and besides the exhaust I can't stand that hideous bracket and plan on chopping/painting it this winter so super stoked to find your videos! Thanks man, nice work!

Totally agree... Underneath the stock Gladius is a tough-looking bike. Glad this helped.

Im thinking who design this gladius?

Awesome! Good luck with your modifications. I find the Gladius pretty easy to work on. You should have some success.

Hello, with the fender eliminator, Where did you put the keyhole for the seat release? The original fender has the keyhole for the seat on the actual fender so interested to see how you got around that. thanks.
@TravisPinto5 жыл бұрын
It will end up under the fender behind the license plate. The kit leverages the same locking mechanism, so it works the same once the fender eliminator has been installed.

@@TravisPinto ah ok. Great thanks, just getting some ideas for mine :D

Hi, good ideas, but have you replaced the bent rear brake pedal yet?
@TravisPinto4 жыл бұрын
Yeah... My rear brake wasn't bent but I did make a video showing how to remove it. Below is a link to the video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hl7depqNmJiXsLM

Hey man I just picked up my first bike 2 weeks ago, 2014 SFV Gladius ABS model with the blue and theme. Got it from the Original owner for a steal cause it was dropped on the right side. I'm interested in how you like the Renthal 7/8 handle bars and which ones they are? I'm not a fan of the stock chrome ones and mines slightly bent from it being dropped as well. Cheers from Canada!
@TravisPinto4 жыл бұрын
Go on Amazon and look for this. Renthal (758-01-BK) Black 7/8" Aluminum Handlebar Because they are aluminum, they are lighter. They are also a little lower and further forward for a more sporty position, which I like. Note: Your stock bar ends will not fit. The inside diameter of the aluminum bar is slightly smaller than the steel chrome bar. These are what I ordered to go with the Aluminum Renthal Bar. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BK25LTW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

@@TravisPinto Sweet thanks for the information! Found them on the amazon.ca site. Might have to get a different look of bar ends as those arent on the .CA website! Yeah I wanted to get new bars but hard to buy anything online with out feedback on them.

A midpipe / cat delete would really help to “slim out” the under and tail side of the bike. I did it to my ‘13 Gladius, but it might be a little too loud for you. I have a gpr midepipe paired with a m4 muffler and it sounds really nice
@TravisPinto4 жыл бұрын
Yeah... I was thinking about that. Had I kept the bike, I likely would have removed the cat and got it tuned.

Great video! How did you connect your tidy tail to the wiring harness of the gladius? What’s the wiring color code? Thanks
@DARKVTWINGRANADA5 жыл бұрын
Hi men, i also have a gladius and i tryed to remove the plastics from chasis but there are some cables that are exposed on the left side of the bike. How do you protect them?
@TravisPinto5 жыл бұрын
I had to build a little plate to cover them up. One of the videos shows how I used a piece of project paper to cut out the shape. Then then I traced the shape on a thin piece of steel, which I cut out with Tin Snips. Using an existing bolt hole, I was able to mount it up. I color matched it of course.

Hey man, liking your videos! Do you know if an aftermarket muffler for an sv650 will fit on the gladius? They seem to look the same. Thanks!
@TravisPinto5 жыл бұрын
The slip-on muffler will definitely attach the exhaust manifold. It's the hanger between the muffler and the footpeg that may not match exactly. I consider this a non-issue since all you would need is a thin flat piece of metal with two holes to connect the two.

@@TravisPinto Thanks mate, keep the videos up. Bike and helmets looks awesome! I'm in the process of de uglying mine. Just bought a gsxr rear shock. Would be a good video if you plan on doing it!

@@chillyourbeanst7861 I should do the same. What make/model/year motorcycle did you pull that rear shock off of?
@chillyourbeanst78615 жыл бұрын
@@TravisPinto I bought a 2011 that I later found out is 2mm longer than the original which I've heard isn't necessarily a bad thing. The most common that people seem to get for the glad is the model earlier around 06-10 I believe.
@TravisPinto5 жыл бұрын
@@chillyourbeanst7861 I'd be OK with the +2mm. I'm just a little too big for the bike and would welcome the extra ride height, even if it was just a little extra.

Nice bike. This would be the 2nd year on my gladius. It's a great starter bike, something I can grow into. Keep up the good work man. If you have extra parts laying around that you dont need, i would be happy to check them out and maybe put them on my bike. I'll be back for updates!
