Was the playbook limited in '21 when he threw 37 tds 4800 yds 10 ints? Now all of a sudden he needs a small playbook cuz he threw a lot of picks last year? QBs throw picks, Dak has shown he can handle a "big playbook" already and put up numbers on par with Josh Allen who actually threw less TDS and yds and more ints that season. Coaching matters. Dak has been good to great during his career., but has NEVER had what would call elite level coaching around him. Yes he is responsible for his play but coaching matters. Ask Josh Allen, ask Matt Stafford , look at Jimmy G now that he doesn't have Shanahan. I see other teams WR's running wide open on the regular. The Cowboys have the most basic passing concepts as confirmed by Fred Ward in his podcast and other analyst. The coach should be putting the players in position to be successful. Also the players have to make plays . The wide outs are not able to get open on a consistent basis.

Dak is limited so the scheme is limited BUT great coaches find a way to scheme that minimizes or at least masks the sins of their QB. You wanna know a great example of "slightly above average QB with a great scheme" looks like? Shanahan lead 49ers making it to the super bowl with Jimmy G. Sure they were out of their league offensively when they got there, BUT they showed they could get there in the first place and the only thing they were missing in that SB was a playmaker at the QB spot. Dak is not the playmaker they need and/ or McCarthy is not the schematic genius they need him to be to make Dak a 30+ TD passer, neither being able to justify his price tag.

As a Cowboys fan, the biggest issue is management. Dak is at fault to a degree, but he was a 4th round pick for a reason. He hasn’t been the same since Zeke got paid. Their play-action game was lethal because defenses feared Zeke and that O-line. Since Frederick retired that line hasn’t been the same. History has shown he needs a running game to be a contender.

It's a combination of 3 problems 1 Dak Prescott is not an elite QB he can't pull you out of a come from score he throws interceptions hes a game manager not a clutch QB 2nd problem Mike McCarthy his west coast offense is a setup for failure 10 yards here 10 yards there and also Mike McCarthy make stupid decisions and important moments. Been telling folks for years. Dude ain’t accurate. Accuracy vs completion % is just that, throwing a dude open vs throwing to a wide open guy. And it showed up on the first drive missing a wide open TE, and missing open deep balls. Yes he hit Turpin deep. But dude was like 1-5 on deep balls. Accuracy is leading a throw when you need to lead it, top shelf when it needs to be top shelf, and on a guy when it needs to be on a guy. He’s inconsistent w this so he either doesn’t throw it or it gets tipped or picked. Or he’s late ALL the time. That’s why they are trying west coast this year to tie feet to routes. See Kurt Warner QB Confidential talks about this ALL the time. And look defenders off. Fred Warner just watched Dak. Slant wide open if he throws it behind Warner after moving him. Dak ain’t garbage but he’s not great either. Yes playcalling needs to be better. But there are still plays out there to make. I agree today, for $100+, make something happen Dak. But he can’t throw guys open. He needs them college open to have success.

Yeah, blame the coach for Dak throwing picks. Dak audibles dame near every play so technically he is calling the plays. Two of those picks were all on Dak and the one to Gallup should have never been thrown with (3) guys within 3 yards. Dak is not a SB QB.

So you're saying that Pollard has been stellar, the O line has been playing to it's first rate ability, the greatest receiving corps in the history of football (as per 25) have been getting open and playing to their top tier ability? NO! This offense that Coach Macarthy has put on the field straight out SUCKS. And against the 9rrs. They were out coached on 3 sides of the ball.

I understand that Dak Prescott has his issues at quarterback, but the Dallas Cowboys offensive scheme has no creativity no motions no nothing. Just a bunch of slants, curl routes and screens, hardly anything deep down the field, defenses know this and it’s so easy for them to plan for when they play the Cowboys. Mike McCarthy just isn’t cut out to call plays.

The issue is mccarthy and the receivers cant get open. Dak ends up forced to try and force stuff that aint there alresdy down by multiple scores. Stop pretending pollard is amazing. I called it last year. He aint him without zeke bein work horse. Now it shows. Ceedee lamb quits on plays and doesnt get open more than 3-5 times a game

Shady, be quiet. Tony Pollard has been hurt and below average, the o line isnt the 2014 o line anymore. They're very below average and aging. This whole team needs to be rebuilt.
