The problem with the boss is that it regenerates health, the higher frame rate makes that faster. So it's healing itself faster that you can do damage

Backseater's Tips #16: Alright, let's get the big one out of the way first. Yes, I think you're right, Johnny. The flamethrowers hitbox is bugged when playing above 30 fps. Uroboros Mkono is probably my least favorite boss even without that glitch though, considering how much it likes to teleport and spam its new arm attack. *EDIT*: Thank you to commenter @matthewshiers9038 for reminding me of this detail I completely blanked on: Flame weaponry should not be your primary source of damage. Your best method is using the flamethrower, Incendiary Rounds, or Flame Grenades on it until it exposes its weakspots, then attack with high-power precision weapons. Or say fuck it and RPG the damn thing and be done with it. Quick cheat sheet for Military Majini: Armor means immune to bullets, Gas Mask means immune to Flash Grenades, Grenade Bandolier mean "*Please*, shoot my stupid ass here". Gas Mask was probably the only one not self explanatory. As Matt said, Reapers are the only documented unmodified organism, being cockroaches, to come into contact with Uroboros and live (which really says a lot about the villains' plans as we'll see later). The only upgrade the infection didn't give them was flashbang immunity. Hit them with one flashbang, they expose a weak spot on the shoulder. Hit that, the other shoulder comes up. Hit 'em again, and their stomach is exposed. They probably won't live another volley.

4:06 - Another highlight from one of Elliot's goofs, lol! 10:34, 16:18, 31:39 - Today is just not Elliot's day. Death Count - Elliot: 14 Matt: 13 25:01 - And here it is. My most hated enemy in the game. The Reapers. I cannot stand this these things.. I remember how they jump scare the crap out of me on my first playthrough, when I first saw them. In my opinion, I think the reapers are one of the scariest enemies the entire game. Taking these things out at the time was pretty difficult, because I didn't know what to do. So I decided to used a rocket launcher against them. And it felt satisfying. Till I found out, that they were weak against electricity.. All well, I still think the rocket launcher felt more satisfying to use against them. Any way, Happy Thanksgiving SGB and to everyone in the comment section!

I don't know for sure, but I always thought that the reason why it seemed to take forever to beat this boss was because we weren't aiming for it's weak spot. My guess was that the flame thrower alone doesn't do damage (or at least not much) - it just forces the monster to move it's vulnerable spots away from the fire, so you need your partner to hit them when they're out. Resident Evil 5 was supposed to be a co-op game after all.

That thumbnail already has me in a rage. I played this on PS5 for my first playthrough and spent almost 2 hours when i got to that boss trying to figure out wtf Im even supposed to. Even after I went online it still made no sense so I just had to decide "f*** it" and got the rocket launcher. If you can beat that thing without cheating good on you, I still won't get over that fury from my first playthrough.

Matt is definitely chaotic much to Elliot's dismay. Was Elliot actually capable of making it to Matt? With that enemy placement, I got the bad feeling it would've just shot Elliot in the back if he tried making his way to Matt and killed him that way.

IIRC Even Wesker wasn't actually "worthy" of Uroboros and it was killing him as well despite the fact that his own genetics were modified. Again, I could be wrong about that though.

Johnny's experience happened to me a while back, I was playing RE4 in the castle section with that big room with all the zealots, I hid in the back room with the two switches so they could all gather there and I can kill them, they open the door and I got an incendiary grenade ready, when I threw it the door closed blowing up in my face and killing Ashley

To answer your ouroboros question, there is ONE character in the whole series that wasn't rejected by it. It's a character in revelations 2, iirc. They inject themselves with it after acquiring it from alex wesker and essentially become a tyrant with their intelligence intact, iirc. That was also the last vial of ouroboros, and with them gone, Albert Wesker's legacy went away along with them. (I'm being vague on purpose in case you all play it on the channel at some point.) Which makes it a 1 in 5 chance you'll turn into an evolved being based on the success rate shown in the series.

Played this with a friend a few months ago. 1/3 of our gameplay was indeed inventory bullshit. The inventory was the bigger enemy than Wesker.

31:13 i took it that wesker being worthy enough(alongside having a kof nest saga esque satellite laser to blast the ouroborus in case it was all for naught which is heavily implied likely would've/reminds me of how i read in some versions of resident evil the health items being made by umbrella had traces of the t-virus regenerative properties to explain why the heroes don't turn immediately when bitten i guess from it being the successful test with it or had it subside.) was why he didn't burst into flames immediately later on with it's weakness to fire. weird the yellow devil was called the rock monster(when that's more fitting for it in megaman 3.) when goo monster fits though granted outside x5(with how you do go underground to fight it.) don't really find it that hard to be a devil.

That is interesting to learn that the 2nd Uroboros boss fight is harder and in a sense, even harder on higher frame rates. due to the fact that it is slowly regenerating its health making it near impossible to tell if you are making progress or not with or without the flamethrower's help. Should they ever remake this, and bring this fight back (which they will) Capcom better take notes on what to do on higher (or same frames) to make the boss not as impossible but still tough to beat given how late game we are in the story.

Is the higher framerate why it feels like Uroboros Round 2 basically becomes immune to damage despite still looking like it takes damage? I noticed this was a thing with later versions If it is, then congratulations on avoiding the glitch

I'm pretty sure that's right. A while ago me and a friend were playing through this and got stuck on this boss for a while. We were doing everything right but couldn't kill the stupid thing. Our solution was to just buy a rocket launcher and one shot it.

Yes. It's a framerate issue. Damn near invincible. You can easily cheese it with a rocket launcher to avoid dealing with it. Also callkng Loki the TV series good, yikes.
