Johnny didn’t explain it but in the honey comb tree level there’s a way to farm lives. There’s a section where you get like 3 or 4 lives in a row right after a check point. If you get the lives then die, not only do you respawn right before the lives appear, but the lives respawn too.

1:00 Nah Johnny Sonic in that minigame is extremely hard to keep focus on especially with everything else on screen. I was able to make Ragna the Bloodedge in that game. 12:56 The story, the creative use of Silver's powers, the idea of Sonic's special shoes, the way Sonic, Shadow, and Silver's stories were separate but would overlap, the character models, the realistic look of Eggman and his robots, the atmosphere of the final boss, the open world, some of the level designs, and the potential that probably would have made Sonic '06 the best game since Adventure 2. I agree with Elliot that the transitions are awkward, but it's hardly the first time a 3D Sonic game did something like that. Sonic Adventure had hard cuts between level segments, and Sonic 06 had its loading screens between sections. But yeah, it's rare for Sonic.

Speaking of Sonic games Have you seen Shadow the Hedgehog: Reloaded, Johnny? It fixes physics issues, straightens up level design and MAKES FINAL STORY AVAILABLE AFTER ONLY 3 PLAYTHROUGHS. It's honestly looks like a lot of fun, and could be a good showcase for a Sonic Hacks stream sometime.

I think this Yoshi dlc might have actually preceded wooly world by a few years since that was 2015 while lost world was like, 2013 so either the dlc was for new island or it was just a choice for a semi adjacent but not outright Mario level

I find that pretty insulting to Mario fans honestly. As if Sonic Team really thinks the generic NSMB-esque locations & the Koopalings are the sole reason why Mario fans love Mario games. What’s ironic is that Lost World came out at a time where Mario fans were actually criticizing Mario games at the time for playing it very safe with its generic NSMB-esque locations & relying too heavily on the koopalings. There’s a reason why some Mario fans calls the Wii U era the safe/bland era of Mario.

​@metashade4218 Well not all Mario games on the Wii U were bland. 3D World, Kart 8 & Maker were amazing and if we wonna count spin-offs like Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze & Yoshi's Wolly World, than go right ahead. So great that every one of them got ported into the Switch and made it better; except Wolly World which is the only Wii U game that hasn't been ported into the Switch yet. What's taken them so long? But yeah. The New Super Mario Bros series and Mario games in general were getting blander & blander during the 3DS & Wii U era. But at least there not as bad as Sonic's.
