Great submission of cards. Love them all especially the 64 Rose & the story around the 61 Maris. Something about the 76 Bench & 73 Clemente always resonate w/ me (great photos maybe). Hank Aaron (like Clemente) doesn’t really have a bad card throughout his career. Great job on the Frank Robinson run. It’s criminal how underrated he has become. I guess 586 dingers, 66 Triple Crown, 2-time MVP, World Series win, last black manager, etc… wasn’t enough. FR is among the best ever.

Hi Rick, I enjoyed seeing some more cards from your collection. I really have grown to like the 49 Bowman Doby. I will likely never own it, but I enjoy seeing it in collections like yours. I always like seeing 62 Topps cards as well. Thanks for sharing.

your personal observations are exactly why i've been hesitant to send any of my own cards to be graded. Any of the grading companies prove time and time again, that they are not in any way objective, and more specifically not even objectively standard! but that is soon to change because my son has a non-sports card he i anxious to have graded and i believe i'm going to use this opportunity to "bite the bullet" so to speak, and have some of my own cards tag along. but regardless of the grades you rec'd, those were a beautiful set of cards from across a vast era of baseball. Thanks so much for sharing!

Nice to see your reveal, Rick. I had to check who holds the single season Dodger HR record and I figured it was Shawn Green and it is at 49. Snider had it for a long time at 43. Nice to see some Frank Robinsons in the mix too. His ‘67 Topps is one of my favorite primarily because of what it says on the back. Thanks for sharing, Rick

Hi Rick. I enjoyed this reveal, seeing a lot of star cards. That 67 Topps Frank Robinson card was super nice looking and a good grade to boot. I'v done 2 recent SGC submissions, and probably done for the year also. It all depends on what future pickups I do. Thanks Rick for sharing and we'll talk soon my friend.

Any of your cards that you showed that have higher grades elsewhere are aberrations because they predated the protective devices that became common in the early 80’s. Also, condition wasn’t a priority for the mainly kids that bought them at the drug stores. Thanks for sharing and Good Collecting👍❤️

Deceased Bill Conlin (former Philly sports writer ) is prob among the strongest reasons Allen & Steve Carlton hated the city’s media. Colin was an a-hole know it all. Anyway, he is the one who refused to call & print “Dick” when talking to Allen & writing about him

Grading is a mystery Rick. Until there is more transparency, we will just have to keep guessing as to the whys. With regard to the Mantle Rub Off, was Mookie anywhere close to it? He is suspected of placing the pin holes in his cards. lol Fun to see the results.

Hi Rick which service do you prefer PSA or SGC? I have a few cards coming back for SGC myself, I’ve used both service but like the price point of SGC 😂🤣. Great cards!
@Rocketrickj18

@@Rocketrickj18 agree with the fast turnaround and price, but it seems some buyer are PSA snobs, so I wonder if this hurts the resale value of a card?
@Rocketrickj18

@@Junkwaxjunior That is certainly possible, but so far I have yet to sell any cards. I have traded a couple for some big (for me) cards and one of those was in a PSA slab. You’re right though to consider that factor in my opinion.
