Never thought I’d see Heart, Taj, and Percy all in one performance.

Plant strikes me as the kind of guy who knows what's he's done but isn't so awed by himself that he still appears to be a decent human being. Today's "artists" should take notice.
@cragkeeper5 жыл бұрын
Sure... that's what old school rock and roll concerts were all about... going to see decent human beings. NOT. The draw was always that guys like him were selling "rare air". A level above and beyond ordinary human. Sure, it was all posturing and BS, but...what fun!! According to your logic, the remaining members of the Rolling Stones who still play their hits in their mid to late 70's are not decent human beings? Plant doesn't have to be in awe of himself to please the fans of his most important products.... it's called being an entertainer of the first order. Not a salesman for his own odd choices of musical preferences.

@@cragkeeper: God, you said very little for writing so much. Let alone completely misunderstanding the context of my post. But, hey. It takes a world, right?
@cragkeeper5 жыл бұрын
@@stevedrums1675 I do understand the context. And, I understand Plant's position. There are Entertainers and there are Artists. I prefer Entertainers.

Robert, come to London, your fans are waiting for you.

Imagine.... staying up until midnight to see Plant .... and this is what you get !! Have mercy..... Guess it was Forbidden to do Zeps "Rock and Roll instead of an old "Burger Fries and a Shake at a drive-in" tune from a time that most "fans" could not possibly identify with. Or have a desire to hear.

The Wilson sisters LOVE Plant...but he seems to be indifferent to them..😕

???? Don’t know how u get that?
@cragkeeper5 жыл бұрын
Because the sisters will always represent the Stairway version they killed at the Kennedy Center with Jason. It's all part of his hate for "Classic Rock" and for the notion that he should play a part in Classic Rock. But, Plant is what he is. He knows damn well why people still come to see him. That's his burden. He doesn't like being Percy. But fans remember him as such. That's the long and short of it all. Until the mountains crumble to the sea, the public will know him as Percy, the wild man from Led Zeppelin. Even as he runs hard from that fact on into eternity....

anitabreakone I barely saw eye contact....and why sing with Crow instead of Wilson? I’ve never seen/heard them perform together.......
@roncoughman62215 жыл бұрын
@@WooBino. He was paired up with Crow by the "Love Rocks NYC" people before the Wilsons were even part of the show. I don't think he's ever cared for the millions of times Ann Wilson's voice has been compared to his, but he's always spoken fondly of her personally. As far as this show goes, Ann and Nancy were a very late addition to the program, and he had been paired up with Crow a couple of months before the Wilsons were even added to the lineup.

I'm sure his choice of music and his performance meant the world to him. Key word here is HIM. You have two types of artists - those who perform to "entertain" and those who perform what pleases themselves. Guess what Plant chooses?
