What's your favourite tea Tom? I was drinking Earl Grey while editing this earlier

@@gaeangardensbyizabela Sadaf. Has Cardamon in it. Very good. Tea. Earl Grey. Hot. Like that one also. Like Picard of Star Trek. Enjoy your tea. Like Spock would say: Live Long and prosper! Take care, Izabela. Tom

When and how do you apply the second color? For example the red color on your black slip sgraffito.
@gaeangardensbyizabela2 ай бұрын
@curlylady3659 if you want to fully cover it, you can apply it when the previous layer is dry- no more shine on it. But you can also blend colours when they're wet too, just like with a painting. Sometimes the clay underneath gets rehydrated so much that you have to wait till it dries to be leather hard again. It's fun, give it a try and you're learn from doing it

Izabela, you put just the info i was looking for in this video, plus delivered in a zen way. Thank you. You mentioned something about a video featuring how to use tools for scraffito., but I can't locate it on your site. Thanks in advance!

@bethdroppleman thank you for your input and I'm so glad to hear my video has helped you! Beth, my apologies, after reading your comment I realized I never edited this video and didn't post it. I actually have all the footage though and now you gave me a motivation to put it together. What would you like to learn about sgraffito tools?

What fantastic results you've achieved with that technique! I look forward to seeing more in the future. I'd love to try it myself, but I have many other steps to accomplish before trying that. Lol

Thank you Dante'! The video is here for you when you're ready to try it, it's very fun. You can always practice just carving on leather hard clay before going scraffito, it's satisfying

Lovely. Just wanted to know if I am using white clay I could just go ahead with colored slip 4 layers? Thanks again. Just the video I was looking for.
@gaeangardensbyizabela Жыл бұрын
Yes, there is no need for many layers of white if you're using the white clay. Just go ahead and paint it. 2-3 layers of colour is plenty, depending what effect you're looking for. 1 layer can even be enough if your slip is thick and saturated with colour. Thank you for letting me know it was useful! Enjoy your creative time

Wonderful! What kind of glaze do you use for yellow, rad and blue colors?

Uh so now i want a glaced pot that still can breath for my pines so the good fungi dont drown
@gaeangardensbyizabela2 жыл бұрын
What if it's glazed only on the outside, would that make the good fungi not drown?
