We have underestimated horses and even dogs. They want to serve they need to serve. We bond with these animals because we really need each other. Make no mistake about it.

Right, as the Marine used the dogs that the folks back home sent (their pets). They kept many a Marine alive, as they used them as watch dogs, so they could sleep without getting killed by Japanese sneak attacks.

Amazing story, what a Marine! I thought the battle of Okinawa was bad where my father fought 1945 as a Marine Raider, but did not know about the severity of the battle for out post Vegas!

She only came home because the marines disregarded the top brass that wanted to leave her behind! Get the story right 🤦‍♂️
