Slacks has been going through alot of sim cards "to see if it belongs to them" when he could just look at the sim card, the number is visible through that. He has no integrity. He is operating out of bad faith trying to get what he wants, any means necessary.

not really since there is no log of who has what phone number, and if you take peoples word for it you can give the wrong sim to the wrong person.

Context is when Suarez got his first Felony being unlawfully arrested and Suarez believes they took his phone and believe they went through it without the legal measures

Basically, Suarez stole Aziz's phone. When they arrested and searched him he had three phones on him. Aziz started opening the phones to find which one was his. When Suarez questioned it, Aziz stopped immediately because he realised he can't do that without a search warrant - so yeah Aziz (or the PD) is guilty. Whether or they will be found guilty though is another matter!

@AlanM1994. Thank you for reminding me of this, however I was more than well aware of that and I see no need for the attempt at ridicule. I am also aware that we are talking about people in a fictional universe so I just see no need for such things. The original post asked for the context, which I believe that I provided. However, the result of Tessa's case, for example, was that the PD were at fault, not Ruby specifically. The fine and sanction were against the PD, not the individual officer. Therefore, in this case, the precendent previous set would show that the PD would similarly be liable, not Aziz personally, be he alive or dead.

They should also try to sue him for lack of action against the mayor and his wife, he was given information that they have done many criminal things including trying to kill fellow consul members and he has done nothing. Though dereliction of duty may only be about the military, I would still like to see them at least try to get him to stop just "looking in to it".
