I love Andre The Giant stories... always looking for a new one... so fortunate to have been able to see him wrestle in person once... I was completely in shock... never seen a human being so big.

Saw Andre in a 20 man Battle Royal and saw him take on Ivan Putski and Nikolai Volkoff in a 20 on 1 match He was a beast! Springfield years later had the Big Show and Great Khali on the same night in different matches. These monsters were all humbling

I heard Andre told Stud to stop entering the ring by stepping over the top rope and Stud ignored him and pissed him off. Stud spent the rest of his career trying to get back in Andre's good grace's but it wasn't going to happen

John Studd was 6'10 and close to 400lbs, if you believe the stats. Even if that's typical wrestling exaggerating, he was a gigantic dude. For him to be terrified of Andre says a lot.

@@NemeanLion- i used to work in a bar in LA in the 80s where the Lakers would go sometimes. There was a mark on the wall next to the door. Supposedly Magic Johnson put it there when some girl asked him how tall he was. So that would be around 6'9". Well, John Studd walked by it one time and the mark was at the level of his nose. So I could believe he was legit 6'10, 6'11.
