I can never tire of watching your calligraphy, and I've picked up learning Chinese again because of your writing. Thank you for all the practice you put in to inspiring others!

Chinese is one of the greatest human inventions. 万葉仮名 Man'yogana is the intermediary bridge to written Japanese and is where ひらがな and カタカナ come from, which are stylized Chinese characters. Follow the link back through history and 万葉仮名 came from Buddhist monks traveling through Korea, which used 漢字 until 한글 was invented in 1443. Those monks were using Regular Script 楷體 which came from Clerical Script 隸書 which came from Seal Script 篆書 which originated from Oracle Bones 甲骨文 from around 1250 BC. The 甲骨文 were organized into radical dictionaries, the earliest known in existence is the ErYa 爾雅 from 220 BC.
