I remember when I first heard this song, I had just been song jumping on youtube while doing other stuff, but as this one started I had to stop what i was doing and devote my full attention to it. Even without knowing what it's about the emotion it carries with it is unavoidable, all the more so once one looks into the meaning of the music.

You can imagine when they released this song. It was in December 2014. We just managed to get rid of an invasive trade deal with China that the KMT government was trying to pass. All of us went crazy. I remember playing it on my work place and over and over, my co workers were just as enthusiastic as me. It was incredible.

Ah. Another little fact about this MV. They were meant to have a another lady to play the widow in this story. A lady who was in her nineties in 2014, whose husband 'disappeared' back in the 50s. But just before they started to shoot, she got ill so they need to find an actor to play the part.
