特徵：
體長22~25公分。虹膜暗褐色。嘴灰黑色。腳紅色。
頭頂灰色。頭部兩側黑色，眉線白色。過眼線黑色而寬，頰、喉、前頸乳白色，有寬闊黑頸圈。背、尾灰褐色，有黑色橫紋，尾短而圓，翼棕褐色，具三道灰色橫紋。胸、脇藍灰色，兩側有白色細紋。腹、尾下覆羽乳白色，腹側有黑色橫斑。
幼鳥大致暗褐色，頭側黃白色，腳粉紅色。
分布：
台灣特有種。分布於低海拔至中海拔山區之濃密樹林、灌叢底層。

Feature:
Body length 22~25 cm. Dark brown iris. Gray-black beak. Red feet.
The top of the head is gray. The sides of the head are black, and the brow line is white. The eye line is black and wide, the cheeks, throat, and front neck are milky white, and there is a wide black neck ring. The back and tail are gray-brown with black horizontal stripes, the tail is short and round, the wings are brown with three gray horizontal stripes. The chest and flanks are blue-gray, with fine white stripes on both sides. The abdomen and undertail coverts are milky white, and there are black horizontal stripes on the abdomen.
Juveniles are generally dark brown, with yellowish-white head and pink feet.
Distribution:
Endemic to Taiwan. Distributed in dense forests and undergrowth in low to medium altitude mountains.
