The Toyonen Matsuri (harvest festival) dedicated to "Oo-Owase-gata," a cypress wood carving, was held at the Tagata Shrine in Komaki City, Aichi Prefecture, on the 15th. The festival is recognized around the world as a strange festival and seems to have attracted 45,000 (according to the shrine announcement) spectators.
