Ok, I double checked the Kaguya Hime story, so Here it goes. Len (Obviously) plays the part of Kaguya, a child that comes from the moon. It was said that his beauty was excelcius, so a lot of people came to marry him. He didn't want to, so He asked for several cruel and impossible tasks to humans: the gold and silver rod (that branch He's holding 1:42), the necklace of a dragon (thos jewels in his hands1:49), the robe of the fire-rats (1:46). Those red veins are how He hurts those humans and even kill them with his selfish requests. But Kaito and Gackupo are different. They represent the empereor, the one who stood with her until de end. Kaguya stares at the moon sadly, because he wants to go back to his home (but also because He doesn't want to leave). He rejects both empereors propposal of marrying not because He didn't want to, but because He knows He has to return to the moon soon. He hurts them, because even if He's not good for them, even if He's not human, they still won't let go of his hand. So KaguyaLen tells them everything about him returning to the moon. They both decide to protect him and send guards to avoid the people from the moon got him, but KaguyaLen know it's futil so He thinks maybe the only way to be together is killing themselves (burn yourself with me) "Even if your sould is drowning I can never fear anything else if I lose you". They know in how much pain kaguayaLen is, but can't let him die. As the time of the fullmoon comes, the guard aren't capable of stopping the moon's court and the empereor ask for KaguyaLen to don't go... but He get off his hand and goes anyway The empereors gone crazy in sadness and lose their willpower. The stairs are Mt. Fuji, the mountain closer to the moon (the bigger one). With his last letter saying "I'm sorry", KaguyaLen also let them the elixir of immortality, but without him it just doesn't worth being alive. So here.. there's two possible endings: Or they drink the elixir, hoping to see him again when KaguyaLen reincarnates, or just decide to die, but the karma of their unfulfilled love makes the reborn to search for him over and over, no matter how many times they got separated. Being those times each of the SCL project songs, finishing with Sakura maichirinu -rei (when they finally recover their memories and can have a happy life, knowing they'll meet again through eternity) Is it something like that?

The kanji lyrics pointing out their existence themselves, but the latter pointing out their existence themselves, but the latter pointing out their limbs and heart... the one Len sacrificed his body for.” I was too insecure about my ability to convey this into english to place this explanation into my translation, so thanks once more to NonLiaTon for writing this up. oh, thank you so much for the english translation!! it's very much appreciated! but yes, i figured that Len was a fusion of the princess Kaguya and rabbit moon legends... and he has such a cute outfit as a result!! i really, really gotta wonder just what Kaito and Gakupo's deal is with their rather corrupt-looking eyes. perhaps it had to do with the line "If I am here, your body will burn up" that Len said? they looked completely normal at the start of the song, but they eventually get those yellow eyes and start wearing eyepatches for the rest of the pv once they meet Len. (so i guess that implies that Moon people are cute but also probably toxic for Earthlings to be around with if one were to go with that theory... tfw....) with that in mind, it'd be logical to assume that Gakupo and Kaito died from overexposure but... Len is the one that left? So maybe Len begrudgingly went back to the moon at the last possible moment in order to ensure the boys' survival. Unless they were talking about dying in a metaphorical sense in that not being with Len is the same as death and constantly dreaded the moment they'd have to part. It's a tragic story regardless of how you interpret it, but that's the norm for VanaN'Ice songs ^q^ ;
