Pastor David, objectively speaking, do you agree with the three verses and the interpretation that pastor Rick used to support his decisions?

Thanks for asking. I would consider myself a moderate complementarian. Frankly speaking, Pastor Rick Warren's interpretation is not very convincing to support the entire Egalitarian system, but I can understand his reasoning.

@@think-biblically Thanks pastor David. I also agree with your comment, and that's the reason I'm surprised and concerned about the 3 verses used by pastor Rick. It seems rather immature and far-fetched use of scripture to support our opinions, which can be dangerous.

@@smallwei76 Actually, Russell Moore is also a complementarian, but he did not openly refuted Rick Warren's argument, that's not his job. I think in the last few years, especially during the election and the pandemic, many SBC pastors and church leaders have been very disappointed with the policies and decisions of the SBC. You can watch my video on the SBC sexual scandal if you have time. Thank you.

Biblically, complementarian is based on the scripture, regardless of cultural preferences. The problem is, throughout history, we have not figured out how men in our society can live out the biblical principles that God originally designed men, husband, father, should have lived. It was a mess, and it gives egalitarians an opportunity to rise. If men can live, love, sacrifice, and lead according to the Bible, this discussion would not even be necessary..
Personally I don't oppose lady pastors but unfortunately those lady pastors I happened to encounter left very bad impressions n painful memories. There are some groups who emphasize that God's words are against lady pastors... There of course are good lady pastors along the way...some argued the bible is not against ladies preachers....
