Shëngjin, Lezhë - 🇦🇱 Albania

Shëngjin is a coastal town and a former municipality in Lezhë County, northwestern Albania. At the 2015 local government reform it became a subdivision of the municipality of Lezhë. The population at the 2011 census was 8,091. Shëngjin is a growing tourist destination, well known for its beaches and resort accommodations. Shëngjin is one of many cities within the District of Lezhë and is home to one of Albania's entry ports, Port of Shëngjin.
Shëngjin is located approximately 100 meters away from the waters of the Adriatic Sea, and below a mountain side called Rrenci that is approximately 159 meters in height. Shëngjin is also located approximately 60 km from the Tirana Mother Teresa International Airport.
Shëngjin offers a wide arrange of environmentally friendly activities. To the south of the city, the protected area of Kunë-Vain-Tale Nature Park is located, which offers a beautiful and undisturbed place to enjoy the natural surroundings of wetlands and seafront. Similarly, just north of city center, "Rana e Hedhun" in Gheg Albanian or "Rera e Hedhur" in standard Albanian coastal dune is located, which also offers a wonderful experience of rural and undeveloped sand dunes along the coastline.
According to EssentialAlbania.com, “Being an ecological city, Shengjin in Albania offers some of the best fishing grounds that ensure that there is a balance between the rate of fishing and the frequent of fishing so that to ensure that there is no too much loss of fish from the sea. They respect the fact that the fish need to breed in order to maintain their population.”

hello, i found out that y origin of my basic family from bosnia is somewhere from base, near lezhe in albania. i cant find in anywhere on google maps. if anyone here knows anything about any place called "basha, bashe, basa, base," or similiar near city lezhe, please let me know guys, would love to go there to find my albanian origin of my family , but first would like to know where to go :D

That is so awesome that you are looking for your roots!! there used to be a lot of Albanians living in bosnia long time ago and in all the neighboring countries too! including sandzak region, a lot of bosnians actually have a lot of albanian ancestry if not completely albanian ancestry, the reason for this is assimilation. The albanians as we know.. do not have the best reputation when it comes to balkans so to avoid discrimination and racism they identified as bosnians and took bosnian identity and eventually assimilated into bosnians. So i think you should furthermore look into your research and your family tree because your family could've been albanians who lived outside of albania. As for the location you are looking for i am not really sure sorry, i suggest you try to find some locals living in Lezhe and maybe ask them maybe they know someone with your Last Name i guess that would help, hope u find what you are looking for.

@@Gold26502 i feel that they cheated us in yugoslavia. serbia wanted to convince all other nations like montenegrinian, bosnian, even maceodonian that we have serb origin but the truth is completely different. blood and gene tests proved that even 40% of serbian have illiric genes as well as many bosnians and croats. now i found that my family basich converted to islam very early in village "kuci" and they converted not from orthodox, but from catholic religion to islam. only catholic people in this time there are maljisori from malesiya, illirians from origin. then i read in many places that this basich family is from somewhere near lezhe. albania is wonderful contry and I am feel great conection when I am there and monenegro is very close as well, which I love. this area is something special in europe.
