After finishing Hyouka, this song especially just hurts. It sounds so cheerful, but the reality that we're almost certainly never going to see any more from these characters (in anime form, at least) stabs at my heart.

thats not exactly true, we could very well see another season in a few years but there isnt enough light novel material for another season, the first season adapted 4 volumes and there are only 6 volumes so far

@@ilhamseptian1604 actually things related to hyouka is becoming less and less, you can still see the fade post on the show windows, I did not go to that store but I think it is the only place selling the most hyouka related things. I ask for the hyouka map since they already do not put them outside.

@@ilhamseptian1604 I know this is three years later but I just came back from Takayama a few months ago and Hyouka is still widely popular there :-) The tourist center provides everyone who wants it a free map that shows all the places from the anime around town. You can even get a Hyouka stamp for your goshuincho / stamp book! The cafes that we see in the show still operate where I even got to sit at the same table as Oreki at the Bag Pipe Cafe. The more upscale restaurant from the movie arc is currently being refurbished so I wasn't able to go in but it seems as if it will finish within the year. The pilgrimage is very worth it and especially when you meet other people who are taking the trip which you can bond over :-)

Not enough material to make a full 24 episodes season And the pace of the novels doesn't help either.... Not sure if the anime was succesful enough or not, but since it's been 6 years since (soon 7) and there wasn't anything about Hyouka, I'm afraid we'll never have a S2...
