Yes sir. Great video.👍 Wow, clearly you have made things a bit more understandable thank you sir. But yes if it's within your budget go for it. If not, don't worry about it just keep saving up the money. I myself did that for 3 years. Several months ago I recently installed a 7 inch BDS coilover suspension kit. The rear shocks as well from BDS. My 2011 Tundra has never felt better on the road and when it comes time to the ranch, hell yeah I'm enjoying it ha!😆. I am very happy with it . 😎👍

Okay, having a BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering and an Engineers Degree, post masters, in Aeronautical/Astronautical Engineering everything he said about angles is spot on; what I would add is this. IF you are not going more than 4 inches you are probably safe with a more basic lift, more than 4 inches spend the money on the more expensive lift. This is all general and no warranty is expressed or implied. Every vehicle/tire/wheel/kit combo is unique.
@UnKnown-jp1bv7 жыл бұрын
I bought a 2014 f150 2wd Ecoboost. First did the front 2" leveling kit, looked better but those Effie stock 18" wheels and donut tires looked awful. Finally decided on the McGaughys 6.5" lift, 20X12 American Truxx black and polished wheels with a -44 offset (Deep lips) and some 35X12.5X20 tires! The look and ride is AWESOME! I got pics for anyone interested in seeing if their in the same boat! I got a few handfuls of opinions and most every shop I asked said McGaughys over RC any day!

why even lift a 2wd anything?.
@UnKnown-jp1bv7 жыл бұрын
Hey bro! Man it's all about preference. It's your vehicle and if want to lift it lift it. It's no different than seeing a 4x4 lowered. It's all so no different than seeing theses brand new $85,000 4x4 trucks with powder coated lift kits and $5,000 wheels bc we all know they will NEVER leave the pavement! Bro there's NOTHING wrong with those that want that drive 2wd that want a nice stance, some mud tires for the occasional fishing trail drive and park with a tad bit more ground clearance. I had a F350 4x4 Diesel, 4 door, long bed that had a 4" lift and you know what...the 7 years I had it I flipped the 4x4 switch 3x and two of those three I didn't even need it!!!! The other time I flipped it I used it to help a stranger out of a ditch on the side of a road...THATS IT! Bro in the end, it's about mods that an owner likes/wants...I also work in construction, we have NO 4x4 trucks here, I've gotten my chevy 3/4 ton off road so many times it ain't funny, and while I have gotten stuck,a couple times if I would have had MT Tires I would have gotten out with ease!!!! Hate to tell you theses a market for 2wd lifts or the manufactures wouldn't make them! Yes most all of the big namesd lift kit makers has 2wd lift kits.....want to know why...because people want that stance, want that little extra ground clearance, want those tad bigger MT tires for the occasional need...lowered or lifted...in the end it's what WE want...not what anyone thinks or suggests. Until I get hep paying for my truck Payment, vehicle maintenance and repairs....then we will do as we want ;-)

Great video bro, thanks for the info. Where does pro comp rate in there? I noticed you didn't cover it. I have the exact f150 (2014 FX4) you showed in this video (only stock), but I literally want it to look just like that one, hood and all. So I'm getting ready to throw some wheels/tires and a lift on it. One of my concerns is if any of these lifts will void the factory warranty. I know that some of the Ford dealerships here in Omaha send trucks out to colorodo to get pro comp lifts installed, which allows them to still sell them as new with factory warranty.

Hey Shawn nice vid bro! Couple of questions! 1. So in respect to the lifts getting out of geometry, are you referencing lifts that do not have drop down brackets? From what I've investigated most crossmembers put the trucks back at factory angles. 2. You stated with the spacers you change geometry, I thought they threw those in if you didn't want to spend the $1800 on fox 2.0 system. 3. Most kits sell the longer cast knuckles, what's the difference from the custom welded knuckle? 4. With a Seaver rear spring set, can you still tow with them? I thought those were only for race setup, ie caged rear ends. Looking to lift my HeavyDuty payload f150, loved the vid and information just wanted some clarification from your vid.

Ro te, noticed he never answered ya question, rough country does put there angles back to factory, he’s just getting paid by the higher end lifts to say that, cause if researched them to, an now days, 5 yrs later with BDS you still have to cut ya truck up to get there 6” lifts on

Smitty depends heavily on the kit. I'll use 07-13 chevys as an example. Rough country makes a 5" and a 7.5" kit. They are identical except the 7.5" comes with bigger spacers and blocks. The 5" is a great kit with near perfect angles. But the 7.5" is garbage
@user-tj9ks1zv7k8 жыл бұрын
gotcha thanks. I'm worried if I lift my truck I'll blow something out thats expensive. I have a '03 350z too and when I first got it back in '07 I put 20's on it among other little things and over time I blew the struts, bearings, tie rods, and it was a rougher ride so I put it back to stock. Hey man I have one cuestión I got on my truck 2wd already 3.5 spindles I wanna put on coil spring spacer 3 inch affect balance or any part my truck ?
@CustomOffsetsTV6 жыл бұрын
Your best bet would be to get a proper lift kit Viktor, as the spacers would put a ton of stress on the front end of your truck.
