I am not a med student, but my sister is. I don't know about you, but my sis loves to diagnose me even though I am perfectly fine. I slightly cough and she is like "you have [insert a random disease name]". Also I am her little pest if she wants to exercise how to diagnose patients (doing that thing with stethoscope). I have nothing against doctors being doctors and them studying hard and doing hard work but my sis loves to tell me how I am lazy because I don't study the same amount as her (i am 18 and she's 21 and i am studying math for entrance exams for graphic design and she's studying medicine, of course my hard work is easier than hers but she's too stuck in her own head to realize that just because I don't work as hard as her doesn't mean I am lazy, I just have different responsibilities) Thank you for listening to my random TEDx talk, I just felt like ranting about my sister's arrogant behavior 🙄

I am a medical student and some of those scenes made me laugh. But i 've to say also that american/anglo medical students and generally anglo med formation really lack. I'm European, I'm italian and the way we study medicine, the years we take ( 6 not 4 ), the way to learn, what to learn etc.. is so different ! I don't want to say that it is better but honestly the anglo theoretical preparation is not enough, it's too pragmatic. At the opposite we suck into practice that here is inexistent !

That's because grades play the most important role in determining our admission to medical school. It's a lot harder than majoring in some liberal arts degree. I work my ass off to get an A in my science classes but I can easily get an A (without even trying) in my other non-science classes. And finally, it's "the dumbest" -- not "the most dumb".
