way back then, it took me a lot, and i really mean a lot of views and stuff before it finally dawned on me that the letter likely had the happy ending page and she was supposed to have used the clock's hands as letter openers. but she went off-script and killed them all with them instead, and that's why the person at the end cries despite having apparently liked the performance.

i remember she was reading the manga, i don't remember this ending... while seeing the clock while running, she looked their secretary while running while seeing the video i noticed. at the end of "and it picked up the letter, weeping...", the spotlight fades out. try again while watching.
