從前居住條件雖差，但人與人接觸較多，感情比較容易建立起來，當然衝突磨擦亦更多。現在條件大大改善了，但換來的卻是隔寞與疏離，大家老死不相往來。

我地以前七九年住白田安置區真比較好一點。每一家有水喉，房仔做廚房和冲涼。不用用公共浴室。

公屋的居民確實是品流複雜，有吸毒者，有精神病者，有黑底人士，有醉酒人士，有色狼，，，又有大陸新移民，老夫少妻經濟出現問題，感情破裂，經常嘈吵架等等
