If you use Spine Chill you will notice that quickly, whereas back when he had detection immunity in Tier I, he could look at you, and you wouldn't know except if you saw him. And that was often too late.

For trapper be careful of grass patches and look in open areas or around loops for traps that spawn You can hear wraith growling from a certain distance when cloaked and see a shimmer of his cloaked self from 20 metres or closer For myres, keep an eye around you when doing actions and if you dont hear much of a terror radius at all it most likely a version of a stealth killer like himself Huntresses lullaby works like her terror radius as it is a radius around the killer, this is set permanently at 40 metres not throughout the entire map like stated Pigs jigsaw boxes also have a idle sound effect that plays, it sound somewhat like metallic clanking Though youll most likely see plague at the time this would come into play, her censor gives of a smoke particle effect that has red burning ashes come off it if using corrupt purge, this can help you pin point who it is if you only see her outline in the distance For ghosty, same as michael, keep an eye out for him sneaking up behind you and watch corners due to him being able to crouch Most actions demo performs make a scream sound such as hitting a survivor or hitting shreds, and they are VERY loud Be very careful with what your doing as deathslinger could be trying to sneak up on you for an easy shot like a stealth killer The sound effect stated for oni is when his ability is fully ready to be used, not when its been activate though it is still map wide Just a little word difference, its the torment status not mangled, also quick tip, when a survivor is sent to a cage they will always be place on the opposite side of the map to where the killer is, this is similar to freddy, however, when you fall asleep the wake up clock will be on the oppsite side of the map to your location not his For nemesis, a different way to tell would be listening for nemesis to teir his mutation as this sound effect is map wide as zombies wont spawn instantly and theres a chance the killer wont contaminate a survivor before they tier up Hope this helps :3

couple of additional notes: *wraith:* his growly breathing is pretty loud, so if you hear that, run. this is advice for if you're around walls in an indoor map and/or if he's using the silent bell add-on. *myers:* darth vader breathing) for scratched mirror add-on. *doctor:* you can also hear when he uses his shock therapy ability, even if you're not around *leatherface:* another way to tell the chainsaws apart is that bubba's saw is at a lower pitch that never increases, while hillbilly's saw gradually increases in pitch the longer he uses or revs it. you can also hear if bubba hit an object and has gone into tantrum by the irregularity of the chainsaw sounds, whereas billy just stops using it after the collision. *hag:* you'll probably see her before the traps, if she's taking time to set some up. if you have yet to see or hear the killer after doing a gen and a half, it's likely going to be hag or trapper. *demogorgon:* it's very noisy even without the portals. you'll always know if it's taken a swing, landed a hit, or been pallet stunned or otherwise recoiled. *oni:* when he gets stunned, his sound is audible throughout the map. *pyramid head:* you can also hear when he uses punishment of the damned (the ranged attack) also, the sound you used for plague is actually that of a survivor cleansing. her taking the corrupt purge is a little different. this will be very helpful for new players, thank you!

Besides all those tips, you can always recognize the specific music themes for some of the killers. That way if they are coming near you, but you're hidden and don't have a clear visual of them, you can still know who's the killer. Although I believe the first OG killers and Bubba share some "default" chase themes, so use the other tips provided by the video in those cases.

Few things: Pyramid Head M2 makes a distinct sound across the map. The twins changing sound isn't what you'll hear as survivor, but you will hear a different and distinct sound for the unbind action. Trickster has a lullaby that plays that isn't his terror radius. Listen for it next time you play against him. A lot of killers have a custom terror radius so if you know it, then you know the killer.

Another good way to at least limit the options is to listen for the heartbeat - some killers can be easily identified by them (aka Oni, Demo, Deathslinger, Mikey) but you can also tell whether it‘s a stealth killer or not

I'd like to add more from my own experience in identifying the killer: Wraith: You can hear a crackle when he's nearby while cloaked Myers: Listen for very deep breathing like Darth Vader breathing. Ghostface: When he's in cloak, listen for a sound that sounds like someone's waving a flag in the wind.

There is also another way that is slightly slower or faster depending on how good your memory is, some killers have their own soundtrack, for example the clown has a dark circus tone with a very low trumpet sound, the deathslinger has a pursuing and anxious type of music western horror-ish, freddy actually laughs but for freddy really just look for the clock icon AT THE START of the game, it's the first thing i do to see if i'm actually against him.

I dont know if this applies all the time but in the loading screen after offerings dissapear you see tips or info near the bottom of the screen explaining some in game mechanics such as generator repairs and hooks but sometimes it gives info about a killer and their abilities. Nearly every single time i saw these it was the exact killer i had to go up against. Such as seeing the ghostface icon with his info next of it meaning its gonna be a ghostface. This has always worked for me.

Btw, when pyramid head uses Punishment of the Damned (the red path that damages survivors) you can hear a sound close to deathslinger's shots sound, or a lightning strike, throughout the entire map. Most of the time that's what you'll notice first from a PH.
