As soon as I could first look it up here j did but listening to sha rock and Lisa Lee with that echo chamber sounds so fucking cool! They look so cute too not thuggish and shit.

Did they ever do anything else together? Because.....man. The reverb on their voices over that warm bass and crunchy drums is too perfect. Gritty like the City that nutured them. Lisa Lee goes on a mean run at the end, they should've never changed the beat or cut it off.

@benHodah9 жыл бұрын
+spke532 yes , yes y'all
@KevinBeacham219 жыл бұрын
+spke532 Unfortunately, that is not correct. Sha Rock rhymes on Funky Four Plus One More "Rappin' And Rockin' The House" from '79. Also, there are several female MCs on wax in '79, including Philly's Lady B "To The Beat Y'all", Doctor Love & Sister Love (male & female duet), Lady D-Lady D, Paulette and Tanya Winley "Rhymin' And Rappin'", The Sequence "Funk You Up" on Sugarhill Records. Those are all from '79. There are also some '80 releases that are likely before the Blonde release, Blonde MIGHT be in the top ten first female raps wax...

+spke532 Nahhhhh no your history baby!

Blondie was not only after the others, she was like The Rappin' Duke, - Da-Ha" She was a novelty rap act, not to mention, blondie was nowhere near an emcee in the hip hop world, at all. The aforementioned ladies were actually emcees who COULD rap.
