I have dry skin but large pores and texture and I use the DM balm as primer too. I really like it. Reminds me of the ELF putty primer in the pot, but slightly better.

Mariam Miquillage.? I think that is her name. She is also a content creator with oily skin. She loves that Danessa Myricks balm stuff. I think it’s more for smoothing the base under all the foundation and stuff to keep oils at bay. Not really for the normal skin gals tho.
