"समझ से बाहर" क्यों है? शोले के बाद शहरी चमक-दमक और जेम्स बॉण्डाना अंदाज़ की फ़िल्म शान बहुत बड़ी बेवकूफ़ी थी। विलेन पुरानी फ़िल्म 'फ़र्ज़' जैसा, हीरो आधे जोकर, आधे जेम्स बॉण्ड, कोई भावनात्मक तनाव नहीं ... ढेर सारा पैसा और तकनीक बरबाद कर दी रमेश सिप्पी ने। संवाद इतने सस्ते और घटिया थे कि लगता है जावेद साहब ने कुछ किया ही नहीं, बस सलीम साहब ने 'विनोद-हमीद' टाइप की सस्ती नॉवेल टाइप की कहानी गढ़ दी। पूरी फ़िल्म में बैठना मुश्किल हो गया था। छी।

This film was indeed a turning point in Khulbhushan Kharbanda's career. He is still best known for his shakaal character. Shashi-Amitabh jodi was always a delight to watch. Parveen Babi and Bindiya Goswami ka kaam bhi thik thak raha. Sunil Dutt, Rakhee and Shatrughan Sinha ka kaam bhi achcha tha. Amitabh-Shotgun both did back to back 4 films even during their rivalry from 1979-1981 i.e. Kala Patthar, Dostana, Shaan and Naseeb surprisingly. One more thing to notice, Rakhee is the only heroine of Amitabh who played 3 different relationships with him i.e. heroine, mother and sister in law in their films. Which is a record in itself.

Loved the episode. So many things I didn't know about the film such as the original star cast being dharmendra, Sanjeev Kumar and Vinod Khanna along with Amitabh Bachchan as well as hema malini and moushmi chatterjee. The film was stylish action thriller but screen play was flawed as you mentioned about the song jaanu meri jaan being played during the serious incidents in the film like how rakhew was attacked by the goons. I think screen play was major let down that worked against the film's box office performance. But still it had good action and popular songs which made it a watchable entertaining film. Shakaal is no doubt the 3rd most famous villain after Gabbar Singh and Mogambo. Aapka presentation as always bahoot achcha laga Rakesh Bhai. Thank you so much for fulfilling out requests. ❤❤🙏 🙏 🙏

Hi Rakesh, extremely informative and entertaining episode, I am now addicted to your channel and await new episodes. Shaan though termed as a flop earned almost 11 crore in reruns.Though the screenplay was a little flawed, it was very much a entertaining film. It is slick and fresh even today, can give run for it's money to any big budget action movie with so much of technology at its disposal. Why don't you please plan a episode on Dilip Kumar and Amitabh starer Shakti. I feel this was Amitabh's best work, iske baad, I think Aakhri Raasta ek aisi picture thi jisme vintage Amitabh nazar aaye. In dono filmo ke episodes agar aap pesh kar sako toh maja aa jayega

Should’ve been a blockbuster. The plot was great. The songs were a classic. It was that good 😊. It was ahead of its times. Sanjeev Kumar could’ve played the shakaal character well. But khulbushan made it iconic too. Mazar khan was good too. Still watchable after so many years 😅 also I don’t understand why the full version of the film is not on the KZbin. It is missing at least 30 mins. Someone release the vhs version 🥴

@@rakeshsadeo ya if u consider mass msasala movies then screenplay n script wise they r weak, but those films becomes hits bcos of its entertainment factor, shaan s direction Ws way ahead compared to other masala films, had all the entertainment factors, vast sets, big scale n never seenn b4 elements in it, it truely deserved to be a big succcess,

Action director Allen Grant Jimmy Allen and one more whose name I don't remember they were the same who composed action scenes for Sholay also. Few scenes of Sholay were composed by Indian fight master but Ramesh Sippy was not satisfied. He wanted Hollywood western type action. So these three were brought in. If you watch Sholay Credit titles carefully no credit is given to anyone for action scenes. I have watched 7-8 times but couldn't find anyone's name for action scenes. These 3 were given credit for Shaan

film Yaado'n Ki Baraat ke bahut hi chhote se patra Popatlal ko Salim-Javed ne is film me Abdul ke naam se bada kar diya.Dutt sahab aur Mazhar Khan ke scene natural bun pade hain. khaskar Dutt sahab wala scene. Salim-Javed ka Shaan wala Shakal wo chhap nahi chhod paya jo Yadon Ki Baraat wala chhod gaya. iski vajah shayad film ke kalakar aur direction hai. Yadon Ki Baraat me Nasir Hussain ne ghatnaon ko is tarah jod diya ki film aakhir tak bandh ke rakhti hai jabki Shaan me Ramesh Sippy, Sholay wala direction nahi dohra paye.
