Then something is wrong with the software itself and you will need to flash it again... Better to try this method few times and still if hard reset gets failed, better to go to Samsung customer service guys instead of trying to flash the phone by yourself.

Completely discharge the battery...then charge it back up. The phone should be powered off at that point and you can perform the reset.

Sorry, I know the comments late, but draining the battery is unnecessary. The phone will shut off within 15 seconds of holding down the home key+power button+volume down button simultaneously.
