So much people bashing the young artist about his truth and the narrative that he experience within the community that they raise from , he did not diss Shabba or any of the other older artists. He's asking for the support and information to grow within the industry. Shabba team was out of place to style Jamaica 🇯🇲 as ( that place) and calling the young man ( shit ) , this only proves that the artist was right about what they are feeling. What we must not do is turn a blind eye or deaf ears towards the young man concerned.

Good to see you guys on the same page 100% for once 😅 I agree with your assessment of the situation 110%. My only thing was his statement about crime I think it’s socially irresponsible. Though what he said about corruption is true it’s only a half truth. We can do something about the present situation we find ourselves in with regards to crime and corruption overall. The real problem is that most people hate the discipline it’s going to take to actually change things. 😮‍💨

These so call icons in dancehall don't nothing for dancehall. The yute is correct, there are artists who are doing conscious and positive music and they still don't try to extend a tip. Not saying they have to do a sing together, because if nothing all now bounty and Vado don't have a song together an a hit bring Vado to the forefront. I wish Dancehall artists took their profession more seriously. Why anyone thinks it's "cool" to show up inebriated to an interview is beyond me. However, carry on. A certain Dancehall artist was being interviewed on Hot97. The poor thing didn't notice that, although there was alcohol all around, he was the only one in the room drinking it. Handout mindset, nobody owe you anything in life. When some of the established artist reach out or talk about the professional side the young artist shit on them. When young artist ready to step up their game be professional and reach out. This bullshit attitude make these older established artists turned off and shut down. Check your yourself fool!!!

As it relates to Jahshii's statement with Naro's and Ari's comment in regard to the veteran artistes. It's not a case of an artiste be obligated to another but it should be a case of unity and that's where Jamaicans will always fall short. Take a second to read this comment and understand.

what I took noticed of and on, the younger youth's doesn't have manners and respect to open his or her mouth to ask and not waiting on veteran artistes or artists to approach these youths; asking can goes both ways to ask for collaboration. The ego, and quick to speak is going to be a detriment if not humble and willing to not want the microwave quick come up and money when the vocal cord and seld needs major work

Jashii's interview just goes to show the mentality of most yutes! Though he made some good points! He was way too aggressive! These vetarans artists noh owe noh body nutn! They got where they are by doing good music and they had proper "management" him need fi put een some work an goh easy! Because he has talent! Cream of the crop is one of my favorite songs right now.

Shabba Ranks trick young producers and fly out without voicing for them; so his track record speaks for itself. As for the other 2 DJ they have tried with young talent before but Shabba deserve some fire for not bussing anyone because Ninjaman produce his first hit song back 87.

Sean paul work with young artist still na lie give respect where it's due...he brought ching to the world he did colab with skillibeng and masika among others everthing else that was said by the artist is true...he has a platform to tell the people who has no idea what the ghetto youth them have to tolerate everyday

While I understand the notion of singing/dj about their background, this is not sustainable, this is ghetto specific & a lot of listeners cannot relate to such. Cross-over artiste like Sean Paul & Shaggy are International artistes who have work with many unknown upcoming artistes.

Jashi need counseling, he has a chance at life. Someone need to help him take charge of it. This Gully Bop behavior is not a good look. And I realize most of Jamaica lost their dignity and pride. Young artist must show respect to who paved the way. And not only artist but in any field. Young bird no know storm.

Context is 🔑ey and he could be speaking from a place of observation and importantly "experience" because many established artists (producers too) in the business have NEVER done anything for anyone vs those who secretly do. Jay-Z is the perfect example of building a prominent and successful label while others squandered their finances among notoriety, let alone starting one to sign THEMSELVES 😓. Killa has utilized his prominence to expose talented people across the world not just Jamaica but also remember this industry is a BUSINESS!!!

The ONLY reason, apart from knowing the artist, that a MADE artist like Sean Paul, Shaggy and Shabba would do a collab with a budding artist is if they have huge admiration for the artist's talent or they're trying to remain relevant!
