Great video, Tina.😊 I wish that I HADN'T bought so many supplies when I first started looking into this hobby, because they were expensive, and I put it all on credit cards that I'm still paying on. That was a HUGE mistake! Here, in my small town in Alaska, there are a couple of thrift shops. One has a half-off day the first Saturday of the month. A friend of mine and I like to go on that day. I have found a lot of supplies for journal making, and other crafts that I like to do. I've also put the word out to friends that I am looking for fabric and supplies, and have been given a lot of stuff! Put the word out in your community, and accept everything! I quietly and discreetly pass on those items I can't use. You'd be amazed how quickly your stash can grow! If I would have done these two things to begin with, I would have only needed to buy ink! 😊❤

Hi Tina, Congratulations on 56K!!! You will be at 60k before you know it!! I have been making my ephemera for each journal. The pieces are extra special and coordinate beautifully. I usually make from elements of the kits I use. You are so right. They really are time-consuming. The pockets you made tonight will be gorgeous in upcoming projects. I hope you do a Halloween folio this year. The folio series are so popular!! I am working on my first ring bound journal...thanks to your fantastic inspiration. Xo, Julie 🧡🍂💛🍂🤎🍁

Hi Tina, pick a pocket or two is a song from the musical Oliver. I am at the stage of it taking me ages to finish a journal. I only started to watch and learn how do make them in January this year. Still learning every video I watch. Your videos, inspiration and chat have been a great help. I live on my own in a one bed apartment, so storage is not ideal. I work on my extended dining table with added storage units at one end of the lounge. Great video thank you🙂Xx

Hi Tina, this was such a great and kind video, especially for those new to our craft! 👍 You gave some lovely, simple explanations and it was kind of you to show how to collect resources without having to break the bank, or buy everything from your shop. You really have a generous spirit. 😊 The advice on mass making was definitely useful. My advice about that is always make items in different colours and themes, as Tina did in this video. This maximises the chances you will actually use your creations in future. Thank you for sharing, Tina. You really have a sweet and gentle nature and are a delight to watch. 🤗🥰 🇦🇺🦘🐨

Hi Tina, even though ive been doing journals now for 2 x a half yrs i did go silly at first buying supplies online x it cost me heaps x its hard for me to get out to places cos im in a wheelchair x i have several not so nice health problems to deal with x i cant go out unless i have my carer with me so i still buy online but i dont over buy anymore but i do arrange to go out twice a mth x then go to the local op shops of wich i am lucky as there are quite a few around x i go into the discount stores around the area but you did get me into mass making x i now do that a lot crafting with you or watching you while i have a cuppa x i take notes x then do it myself later. Yesterday i was having a mass making sesion x i was covering copy paper completely with paper napkins as i have a huge collection of around 60 diferent designs of wich i buy in packs of 20 online with Temu very cheaply but i got a little carried away with myself yesterday x by the time i had finished i found i had done 153 A4 sized papers of all the diferent design😂s cos you can get some really beuatiful designs now, so i have lots of lovely decorative papers to use in making pockets or ephemera or to use in a signature of a journal too!. I have found for me this works well even if i did go just a tad overboard with how much i made but i know i will use it all. And i just got a new printer so am looking forward to getting x using some of your digitals. Just waiting for my grandson to set it up for me. Today i made 7 journal covers for the journals I'm making for xmas gifts x i just got asked to make 3 more to sell to a freind who wants them to give as gifts so i may be disabled but i keep very busy x it all helps me with my shaky jerky hands x has actualy improved it for me as im doing it all every day x i spend all day crafting. I used to do landscape paintings but cos of my hands i cant as much anymore but i use my paints in my journals so its all good but i never miss your vidios x i would advise anyone new whos interested to watch you x to do some mass making cos we can surprise ourselves with what we can acheive even for those like me who are disabled, i cant walk x i have trouble using my hands but its not stopped me x im proud of what i can make x how lovely they can look. Its a good hobby for someone like me so if you are new to journal making id advise anyone to giv it a try cos for me it was a life saver x thats in part due to you Tina as i watch you x Gayle Agustonelli every day x you are my favourite 2 vidios to watch for journaling x i thank you so very much, the very first vidio i ever watched on making journals was one of your vidios. Godbless you x thanku...

Lol yes I always had stash envy 🙊 actually looking at that I still do despite having my own 😄. Lol pick a pocket🙊. There are lots of free sites for printable music and even some book pages. Lol I just rust dyed some paper. Oh PIXABAY is good for free images, old photos etc. I started an Amazon wish list to get some stuff for Christmas presents too🙊. Oh you go girl, gluing a whole stack of envelopes in one go 🤘. Your 'using unusable papers' is still one of my favourites, ooh I fancy doing that again. Oh, broken jewellery, relatives old clothes (including buttons), and stash swapping with friends, junk mail, dying old bedding/table linen, £1 shop, creators freebies, packaging, lol you've got me all fired up a re-motivated🤘. Remember how it took me years to ink?🙈. Lol Bo is wondering why you keep saying her name🙊. Awesome video, I'm fired up for when my symptoms subside 🤘. Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖

💯 on everything you're saying here. What an excellent vid! Mass makes/making ahead is the way to go, although sometimes I get sidetracked (DARN that ADHD) with a scrap of paper from a page or something I'm using to build a journal and spend 1/2 an hour playing with it because... uh... well, I'm not really sure why. Why did I come into this room anyway? Is this my drink? I hafta pee...
