I haven't had time to start mine yet 🙈. Oops, a little water needed for your gesso but it won't leak and go splodgy like that lol. Paint+powder+glue=gesso. More powder=texture paste 😊. I'd better check my gesso tbh🙈. I love glitter and pva, especially black glitter. Yes playing like this is awesome and therapeutic. That blue is lovely, I need it! Barbara will be proud of your gold splatters! Experimenting is especially good when it's not your usual thing. That's great ink, is it acrylic ink? Dry application with stencils is good. Yes I use paint (dabbing with sponge or dry brushing)of pastes. You'll find your own groove while playing😉. Gold+lilac=😍. Oh the blendy sponge works well! That dragonfly stamp with gold (embossing maybe?) Would be awesome. I really need to use my embossing powders more. Barbara uses it over texture paste, even water once! Apparently glycerine in moderation works. Worth playing around. WOW, embellishing looks gorgeous 😍. Yes, keep going until you love it. Loving how the white gesso works on that one 😍.Lots of fab ideas, I'm looking forward to doing mine. Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖

I really liked the first paper when you did it but then you started doing the others and I liked them even more. They all turned out beautiful. The light gesso even looked beautiful when you put it over the first paper. Can't wait to see how it looks when you get done.

Gesso modeling paste can be thinned with water sparingly, or acrylic medium mixed with water...according to google. Love the gold splatters with the black gesso. Looks like lots of fun.😍

Apply the paint pouncing from the top as in a dry brush technique. Using tissue, paper towel, etc., pushes the paint under the stencil. Too, dab off most of the paint using paint lightly. Good luck.

Hi Tina, apparently you can thin down Gesso with water, being very careful adding a little water at a time. Xx

I think you can add black acrylic paint I probably would not add water it could mold unless it’s distilled water. But honestly its an acrylic medium and so it’s just like acrylic paint and once it dries its basically plastic and unusable 😢a few tips to remember for stenciling with is to use less paint on your sponge and pounce the sponge up and instead of rubbing in to the grooves bc that pushes paint underneath it regardless your pages turned out beautiful anyway

Tina, I love all the pages, but I think my favorite is the last one! I am not a yellow fan, but I don’t really see the yellow page! I see the stamps, and I love stamping! And as far as you being a mess or creating a mess, we who love you, including myself, love your messes, er, your creations! I love to see you creating. If I think, oh no don’t do that - - I stop and think, Donna have you tried that, how would it turn out if you did?! I do have a suggestion for the page with the black gesso. What you did is fine, but I think I would either scrap the page or turn it over, and do something on the back! I would scrape off as much as the black as I could. I read on Mr. google that you can revive gesso by adding water a little at a time. but to toss completely dried out gesso because as you discovered, it flakes, and if something is painted or inked over it, the possibility of it flaking off is very high. But even that might not a big be a bad thing because it’ll create something distinctive! Merry Christmas to you and your family!! Love, Donna Jo
