Hi Tina, Have you ever tried waxing the doilies? Sharon Hoeth has a video. She said it makes them very strong. They turned out cute. Your paper bows would be cute on these. Thank you for sharing this updated idea. Xo, Julie💐🐦 🌳🐿🪺☀️🦢🪷🐸
Tina, this is such a great idea. I didn't have doiles your size, but I had some that were 2.5 inches with a 2 inch center. I used my 2 inch hole punch to cut out some centers from some papers I had, and glued them onto the center of the doiles. I then made the pocket and embelished them with little pearl trim. All of this based on your wonderful idea. Thanks so much !!!! You are top notch. Blessings to you and yours.

What a fantastic way to use dollies as pockets and for mass making 💖😊

I know I have doilies somewhere....🙈. I like the idea of making them more sturdy with th paper and they look so CUTE 😍. Yep clumsy clumsy🙈. I'd maybe even glue two layers of doilie first for my clumsiness😄. Lol we had a glorious Easter sunday but it freezing a soggy again now. Ouch, yes a low broken nail hurts more after with the damage to the nail bed 🙈. I always thought the other ones looked too samey, the paper is brilliant. I think those tiny staples are cuter but I daren't buy another stapler 😄. Oh you could cut the paper first then fold the doilie around it for ease maybe? No glue does make it a 'make anywhere/t.v.' Project though. I've made a few smaller journals lately, time for a big one soon. I've definitely not seen them like this before. They're prettier and always different😍. Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖

What glue in a red bottle do you use please? Is it a Tacky Glue? Do you know by chance is it the same as the Aleene’s Tacky Glue in the US? 😊 Also will those staples rust in your climate? Oh, wow! You’re doing fussy cutting on a clock!? And your scissors are long! I thought they should be short to go around with ease.

On the third one you could have used the blue part at the bottom by adding paper/card stock at the bottom and cut off the extra tall part at the top. That added bottom would not show and you can showcase your pretty blue!
