A great 2nd video in this series. I love the simplicity of the journal which is shaping up nicely. As you quite rightly said, starting out can be overwhelming as there are all of these clever talented people making extremely complicated pieces using lots of different tools and machines. This tutorial is a good foundation stone to build on over time. Thank you. ☺

Thank you so much. I was so overwhelmed at first because of all the many different types of pockets etc, and really I think this more basic version is just as beautiful. So pleased that you are getting some ideas from this little series x

For something back to basic, I think it is turning out really great! I happen to like simple and basic, but I go to the extreme sometimes and liked it loaded, lol 😆 Tfs ☺️👏🏼👏🏼xx

This back to basics idea is such a good thing. I know it is making lots of folks just starting out breathe a sigh of relief. There is one thing you might consider. I realize using your own printables is the best way for folks to see them in action, and every purchase helps your channel. As you are working, you continue to stress that these things are not necessary and that you can simply use books or magazines, but seeing your gorgeous flowers and such it is hard to find comparable things other places. What if on some pages you actually did get your images from alternative sources? You could show how to best choose an image from a magazine, pamphlet, or book and what things to avoid. The pages are probably thinner here, and there may be some images that will show through from the back. Explain what to do in this type of situation. This is just a suggestion, but there are definitely people wanting to start journal making that have very minimal supplies to work with. Just a thought.

It’s very strange, as I was ticking a thumbs up to this video I noticed someone had ticked the thumbs down. Why I find this strange is because on almost every video I watch from the many people I subscribe to, there seems to be 1 thumbs down, I don’t get it, could it be the same person doing it on all I wonder? Thank you for sharing your processes and talent Tina! 😁
@shabbydabbydoodah4 жыл бұрын
I know Jay, I used to get really upset about the thumbs down, but I just try and ignore it now x
@deborahsmith50364 жыл бұрын
I often wonder if these people have constructive criticism or do they just don’t like the content. Either way I don’t know why they bother. They don’t have to watch. Don’t worry about it Tina, it’s not worth your attention. The numbers of thumbs up speaks for itself.💕

I love this journal. It's lovely to have a project that seems like even I could do it. Your flowers are lovely. I am wondering how you cut them out? Tfs

I love fussy cutting in the evenings. However, I did get a scan n cut last year for my birthday which I used for some of these. Fussy cutting is just as good though, and definitely a scan n cut is not an essential tool x
@catherinelong24054 жыл бұрын
@@shabbydabbydoodah Wow. I'm impressed with your fussy cutting skills. 😄 I do fussy cutting but never manage to do a great job on the intricate bits. I have long debated getting a cutting machine but I've seen tutorials for the silhouette which make it seem very complicated. How do you find the scan n' cut?

Now I understand the difference between the fabric glue and the wetter craft glue. I would guess this pertains to coffee/tea stained paper.

Tina, I have an HP inkjet printer. It tends to jam if II I coffee dye my paper first then try to print. Do you print first then coffee dye or do you coffee dye then print? I always dye my paper, then dry in oven, then iron. The edges always come out wavy. (My printer doesn't like the wavy edges.) Does anybody have this problem? I can't afford a laser printed.
@shabbydabbydoodah4 жыл бұрын
I print and then coffee dye, however I can only do this since having the Instant Ink program, my old printer would have smudged the ink. X
