内容はオーソドックスな格闘アクションだが、最大の特徴として「スナッチ」という特殊能力があることである。 これにより登場する敵に乗り移り戦うことが可能である。 また、格闘アクションとしては珍しく各キャラクターごとにコマンド入力による必殺技も用意されていたりとアクションは多彩である。
ストーリー:
時は西暦2018年。 急速に発展した科学力を「悪」に利用しようと企む巨大組織「ティーサー」は、 その英知を持って作り出した怪物達を使い、「人類大虐計画」を企てていた。 人類が生きる希望を失いかけたその時、 ティーサー壊滅のために4人の「シャドーフォース」と呼ばれるサイボーグ戦士がいた。

Ninjas with the ability to possess their enemies must use all means at their disposal to save themselves and those that they defend!
Shadow Force has 6 buttons : 2 for punches (low and high) 2 for kicks (low and high) 1 button for jump and 1 for possessing an enemy. You can obtain various attack moves holding down up or down and press the buttons for punches and kicks. It is even possible to combine the punch and kick attacks to obtain some different combos, even the enemies can do the same, but the number of their attacks is generally less various compared to the heroes moves, even the combos are limited for the enemies.

You have to love how 90s this game is: A group of ninjas, including what appears to be a robot, fighting other ninjas, other robots, mutants, and a mad scientist, cumulating in facing the reincarnation of evil itself... Which is dubbed Lucifer. Even the soundtrack is very 90s, with its guitar samples and heavy synth. Not the best game but I love the look and feel of it.
