Shade improvisation for approaching heatwave

Mid morning, out on the hot patio. Broken parasol and approaching UK heatwave. What to do? The succulents love the heat but I do not. (I always thought sun umbrellas were called ‘sunbrellas’ - apparently not :0 )

Upcycling at its very best. That view is gorgeous Lulu and I don't think I'd move from that chair if that was the view from my garden. Love that rusty chair with the succulents, what a great way to show them off.

Good ol' necessity Cherie, the mother of invention ;) Ah, the cake tin succulents make a good weight for the chair. I've been meaning to pot them out. I couldn't find any parasol or bases for a sensible price - either all sold out or they wouldn't get here on time!

Bless ya Garden Tour. Ideally I'd love some shade casting plants up top, or maybe a pergola with grapevine, but that's a long term project. I see you have a garden video channel - I shall take a peek in a bit.... :)
